During an appearance on this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) discussed the division in the country and how to overcome it.
The South Carolina Republican U.S. Senator said the left was responsible by attempting to create a “grievance culture.” However, he argued the country should not be defined by its “original sin, but instead by its story of redemption.
“So, you talk with an optimistic message, and we talked about how you are highlighting faith not only in the religious sense but that you want Americans to have faith in each other,” host Shannon Bream said. “I want to put up our recent Fox News poll about how Americans feel about things today. They say we are a dysfunctional family, 81% of them. Is it realistic to believe that you or any other politician can get us out of our corners and get people back to a place where there isn’t so much division?”

The original sin was eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
The country does not have an original sin. We are not responsible for the actions of people who lived in the past.
Fox’s darling for President.
Lindsey’s assistant

“The original sin was eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.”
This.
To misappropriate the term “original sin” is to deny the truth of how sin entered into the world - and this by people who do not believe in the concept of sin or that there is even a thing called evil.
That Senator should know better, but maybe not.
Scott is a total clown who endorsed Murkowski.
Original sin was Biblical, Bozo Scott. Black African chiefs— that is to say YOUR ancestors— sold rival tribesman and their own problem tribesmen to African middle men who in turn sold these people the largely ARAB traders— who then turned them to the slave ship owners (BRITISH for decades, and then Boston colonial shippers) for movement to the Colonies. The biggest players in slavery from the very start were the Portugese. To— Brazil and other holdings of the seafaring nation— and don’t forget Spain and France. Through out the world.
Original Sin? Think not— and poorly thought out mouthing of the 1619 absolute LIE of Hannah Banana of Howard Univ. Thank you NC for getting her kicked out of any tenured role in NC universities. Utter fabrication her “project” for the World Marxists.
original sin?
people today adhere today’s morals on those in the past, just as those people did with slavery... and just as their people did in selling their conquered foes into slavery for ions ad infinitum...
original? not hardly.
Scott is Lindsey Graham’s favorite RINO. The Turtle loves Tim.
A Michael Steele-wannabe.
Our original slaves were all Irish
The whole term ‘original sin ‘ is BS
Originally all “slaves” were not slaves but indentured servants many were Irish and highland Scots - rebellious Celts. The “Indentured servant” vs slave distinction didn’t occur until a Virginia Court case where a local farmer - Anthony Johnson refused to release his servant from the indenture in effect turning him into a chattel slave. The court upheld Johnson’s desire. He now had the first Virginia slave. Anthony Johnson was black as was his servant now slave. Things sort of snowballed after that.
Mine came in mid-1850’s from Norway.
NEVER had slaves
Never grew cotton
Dad’s side from Sweden to Texas, early 1800s. Mom’s side from Ireland and England to North and South Carolina pre-Revolutionary War, One generation did have slaves and grow cotton. Shameful, but not attributable to me.
It was a worldwide system. This is a lie by omitting the context of the issue.
You can tell he is a deep state prostitute.
