Trump brought in some real talent; he brought in some advisors with experience in particular areas for the exposure to their opinions. In business you bring in the people with the greatest expertise often with diverging opinions so that the man in charge hears both sides and can decide. You don’t bring in people on the basis of ideological purity but on the basis of experience, intelligence and competence in an area. Then you weigh and consider. When a problem is solved & a new one is underway you shift advisors to get the best mix in the new area.
Fauci was marginalized when his incompetence and his basic duplicity were exposed. That marginalization needed to be gradual if it was not to cause panic in Americans who were systematically lied to by the Left, the MSM(the left),and mouthpieces for Pharmy and so afraid for their lives. The Governors had the power to act according to the science. They did not need to follow Fauci and many did not.
