‘Decline Is A Choice’: DeSantis Releases New Ad Rallying Conservatives To Fight For Freedom
Daily Wire ^ | 26 Feb 23 | Daily Wire

Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis released a new digital ad Sunday night rallying conservatives to fight for freedom ahead of a potential 2024 presidential run.

“When the world lost its mind… when common sense suddenly became an uncommon virtue… Florida was a refuge of sanity, a citadel of freedom for our fellow Americans and even for people around the world,” DeSantis said in the nearly two-minute video.

The ad features numerous major figures at Fox News — including Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, Dana Perino, and Lisa Boothe — touting DeSantis’ repeated successes while serving as the governor of Florida.

“Florida’s success has been made more difficult by the floundering federal establishment in Washington, DC., an inflationary spending binge that has left our nation weaker and our citizens poorer,” DeSantis says later in the video. “It has enacted pandemic restrictions and mandates. It has recklessly facilitated open borders. It has imposed an energy policy that has crippled our nation’s domestic production. This has caused many to be pessimistic about the country’s future. Some even say that failure is inevitable. Florida is proof positive that we the people are not destined for failure.”

DeSantis continues by highlighting the wins that his administration has secured in the state, including becoming the fastest growing state in the country, ranking #1 in education freedom, ranking #1 in economic freedom, and ranking #1 in higher public education.

“Decline is a choice. Success is attainable,” DeSantis concludes. “And freedom is worth fighting for.”

What do you achieve by posting dis-information? Trump never shut down the Country, never imposed mask mandates etc. Pence asked for 14 days to stop the spread. All the rest was the Governors.

“DeSantis lifted all Covid restrictions in Florida even before the Great Barrington Declaration was published”

Kristi Noem didn’t have restrictions to begin with but DeSantis’ PR people keep saying he was ahead of all others. Not a fan of Noem, but they need to be honest.

Trumps mail in ballots guarantee more tyranny.. Trump is still touting all the lives saved from the vax. In other words.. he is a Fauci puppet, even today.
He even gave them bumpstock bans and how many taxpayer dollars to stay home and how many vax dollara even to other countries.
Prison reform, which needed to be more carefully done.
The dems can’t wait to get him back.. when his experts show up to take your
Last round, last weapon, don’t worry… it’s just 4d chess.

Smells like a Lincoln Project.

Yeah, big-time DeSantis fans.

"The audacity of this nonsense has completely destroyed his credibility. "

And your silly tendency to grab onto any misstep and immediately come to such extreme conclusions has destroyed yours.

No. Again you post conclusions based on inaccurate assumptions.
Again Trump is supposed to have been elected emperor.
It is cunning how you ignore the record of the senate confirmations withheld, the slowest confirmations in America’s history. You pretend Trump had a free hand in selecting advisors when it is clear that he had to select those that McConnell agreed to bring to the floor. Even the candidates that looked as though they could be trusted were often plants.

Trump brought in some real talent; he brought in some advisors with experience in particular areas for the exposure to their opinions. In business you bring in the people with the greatest expertise often with diverging opinions so that the man in charge hears both sides and can decide. You don’t bring in people on the basis of ideological purity but on the basis of experience, intelligence and competence in an area. Then you weigh and consider. When a problem is solved & a new one is underway you shift advisors to get the best mix in the new area.

Fauci was marginalized when his incompetence and his basic duplicity were exposed. That marginalization needed to be gradual if it was not to cause panic in Americans who were systematically lied to by the Left, the MSM(the left),and mouthpieces for Pharmy and so afraid for their lives. One of your main duplicities is to pretend Trump made his decisions on Fauci through the lens of being re-elected. You obviously are emotional rather than logical. The chaos the left would have caused by Trump “removing” Fauci rather than marginalizing him would have paralyzed the Nation.

The Governors had the power to act according to the science. They did not need to follow Fauci and many did not. There were saner voices like Scott Atlas who disseminated the truth and called out lies. Your fixation on removing Fauci has no basis since he could be & was ignored. Fauci is a montebank, motivated by his desire for $, fame and approbation. Like the VA, the NIH has been infiltrated by many without a moral compass nd it’s mission has been compromised. The VA was addressed under Trump after decades of incompetence and malfeasance. The NIH is overdue for a serious cleansing of the stables & rededication to the health & welfare of Americans...but not in the middle of a pandemic.

Your points are rants not logic or the depictions of reality.
Beware least in you desire to destroy Trump and glorify DeSantis you beclown yourself. The proverb “the thief cries thief” is a valid one. The motives you project ton Trump reflect you much more clearly than they reflect Trump. The white knight you create of DeSantis is more construct than a true rendition of experience, actions, alliances, faults and statements.

I wouldn’t say that.

Florida is a much more difficult situation — population density, demographics, politics, etc. Not really even close.

I like Noem but she’s not of the same level of a candidate as DeSantis.

You forget. Trump needed the military spending at the time. He was very vocal about how damaging the bill was & how unnecessary much of the spending was.
Trump did his best to refuse to actually authorize much of the unnecessary spending.
How easy it is to construct a narrative by ignoring pesky facts and using the broad brush.

Great to have a leading R voice touting Freedom for a change.

MAGA is a meaningless marketing trick of a selfish poser.

Why not. It’s true and very relevant. When a man tells you he admires Paul Ryan’s political stance he is giving you insight into his own values.

I think that Pence asked for two weeks...He was in charge of the COVID response not Trump. Trump concentrated on the supply chain.
Other than closing airports to would be visitors from China and other high concentrations of COVID Nations what did Trump close? He repeatedly said that The Federal Government was a resource and a help but the Governors were in charge of their State responses.
I think you need to check your assumptions against facts. Trump did not shut down America or Americans. He most properly left the States to decide their responses.

Tell us, NEWBIE how Ron is a PHONIE? Do you LIVE in Florida?

The new narrative here is that Ron DeSantis is disguising his RINO accolades by fighting and winning conservative battles, many of which had never been fought before, and effecting actual conservative change.

Trump, who handed the country over to Dr. Fauci, spent like a drunk Democrat, signed into law gun bans, throws gay parties at Mar-A-Lago, endorsed Stacey Abrams for governor, and blamed "extreme pro-life candidates" (that he himself endorsed) for the poor midterms is the REAL CONSERVATIVE!

DeSantis is a "phony" because he's winning with conservatism while Trump is the "real deal" because he talks a good game.

let’s look at what’s happening...the dems are detecting a Chisum and trying to exploit it...I support both Trump an DeSantis... my warning to DeSantis supporters is that a good percentage of perceived support for a run in 2024. is actually ground prep by democrat operatives. the hopes is to paralysis the republican party enough to win the presidential election. Advice to everyone don’t say anything that destroys the viability of either DeSantis or Trump. While I would suggest to DeSantis his time to run is 2028 it is also a decision that is his to make. I would also suggest trumping supporters that they need to realize that to win an election we need a united party and that DeSantis and his supporters needs to be treated with respect.

Trump just sat back and let it all go on and on and on, never removing the people who were lying to the public about the effectiveness of masking, lockdowns, etc.

Right. It is never Trump’s fault....always someone else.

Your excuse making is pathetic and shows you cannot defend Trump, but need to denigrate others.

Trump is a 5-time loser who’s time has past.
