House Speaker Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has come under fire for not allowing the general public to view footage from the Jan. 6th protests.
Mike Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow told Steve Bannon he intends to sue Rep. McCarthy over his decision which exclusively gave Fox News’ Tucker Carlson access to Jan. 6 footage.
Lindell contested that McCarthy’s move was a violation of the freedom of the press provision in the First Amendment and the Fourteenth Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause.
The MyPillow CEO went on to suggest Fox News can not be trusted to report the truth about what is in that footage. “Why does just Fox get this? So they can cover it up even more? It’s disgusting. All of us, including War Room, we all need to see what’s on those tapes, and we need to see all of them.”
Lindell argued his network was “injured” by not having access to the over 40,000 hours worth of Jan. 6 content.
He went on to say he will not allow Fox News to be a “filter to the world in their exclusive Jan. 6 coverage.
“Fox News will get to put out whatever they see fit. We don’t even know what they’re filtering! Really? Fox is going to be the filter to the world? Not gonna happen on my watch!”

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) also echoed calls for McCarthy to release the footage to all members of Congress and the public.
The Arizona Republican, speaking with Emerald Robinson, dismissed any security concerns which could arise from the full release of the footage. Biggs said “in the spirit of truth and transparency” the tapes should be released.

mike....shhhhhh
Others will blunt the impact by using it for left wing propoganda. They will diligently search for the most explosive things and then we will be baraged into senselessness with limited hangouts and half-truths.
Hey Mike, why do you advertise your products on Tuckers show?
Same reason.
You want to know what’s on the tapes, watch Tucker’s show.
With Paul Ryan and the Murdochs at Fox, I don't assume that at all.
Beyond that, government picking and choosing what private citizens get to access public property is NOT a good thing.
He has no standing and no tenable legal claim. Accordingly, this is right up his alley.
LOL.
It stinks. Cucker is old friends with Hunter.
I think it is fine to let Tucker have them first. That said, the full thing needs to be released to everyone after Tucker has had his go at them.
Imagine that when Pelozi was Speaker she gave all of the J6 video to Jake Tapper and no one else.
Aren’t the tapes done on behalf of all Americans and thus somewhat belong to all Americans. I personally don’t understand how you can justify withholding any of it from the owners. Security concerns? Why, people shouldn’t know where thr cameras are or they shouldn’t see what the camera get to see...chatgpt, what way you?
yup
Mike most definitely has a valid point.
How many are going to sit through 41,000 hours of video?
We the American people paid for their creation entirely, why do we need the filter of a media company? They should be placed on line for all to vet.
I bought a mypillow. It was very comfortable for about 4 years but then kinda died. I’d consider buying another one.
I’m not a big fan of Lindell, but I would think the Freedom of Information Act would give him all the standing he needs.
You should send it back. They have a 10-year guarantee,
“How many are going to sit through 41,000 hours of video?”
80 peeps for 3 months each?
