“In fairness, we don’t know for certain that 44-year-old Aska, who was born in Antigua, kept his job due to affirmative action and “equity.””
Now, why would anyone suspect such a thing?

“The NTSB said on March 5 that the Boeing 767-300 cargo jet entered some turbulence shortly before the plane’s crash landing. Then, the engines increased to maximum thrust, after which the airplane pitch turned slightly up.”
Sounds like they were on autopilot, encountered a microburst and the AP was doing its job to keep the plane in the air and maintain the proper glide slope. The First Officer over reacted and pushed the nose hard over.

The best example of “diversity” or an affirmative action pilot was Auburn Calloway. Look it up. He was the example where the 9-11 terrorists received their inspiration. If it hadn't been for the bravery and professionalism of the pilot and co pilot everyone would know about this incident because of the death toll.

"I have my multi-engine license and after I get 78 more hours logged I can apply for my commercial license."
Women can be fine pilots. The person who gave me the check flight for my private license was a woman, sadly no longer with us. Her obit said she was "one of the World's greatest Aerobatic pilots." She was the first American ever to win a Gold Medal in World Aerobatic Competition.

I think this is a good article on the subject. I expect before all the wokeness causes enough accidents or kills enough people we will see much more incompetence promoted and endured.
The bias to “give another chance” for people who get rattled has bothered me a lot in emergency response training in particular and training or job performance in general. People don’t just not test well, if they do, they also do not perform well under stress. It is a certainty. They are not owed benefit of the doubt and doing so is an injustice to the people whose well being / lives depend on them doing well.
Conrad should have never been in the cockpit.

What I fear next in the woke world is promotion of incompetents at the expense of the competent because of quotas and union seniority. In a small universe of force-favored candidates attempting to feed the larger general universe you begin to scrape the bottom of the barrel sooner. No matter the race, color or creed it is just a fact.

Now you understand why the elitist frauds fly on private jets.
Private jet charter companies also hire minorities and women.

I wonder why Atlas didn’t research this guy’s past record and just went on his “word” alone?
If they didn’t, then they are partly at fault b/c this guy had a terrible history with other airlines.

Soon life expectancy of 41 yrs. or more in US will be labeled white privilege.
I heard a variation of this nearly a half century ago. I was at a meeting dealing with disabilities and a speaker asserted that Indians (feather) should be allowed to draw Social Security checks at age 55, since as a group their life expectancy was shorter.

I plan on getting my last air travel in within the next couple of years
I'm curoius. What does the next coiuple of years have to do with your situation? Will you be retiring from a job requiring you to travel long distances?
If that's the case, I'd be sweating out the countdown to ending your need for frequent air travel.
Or perhaps you and the Mrs. skeeter just want to do some elective traveling of the world. That's difficult and very time consuming via ground and ocean transport.

By now I think it is clear that among Americans affirmative action has become part of our culture, it is way beyond only law and corporate code, people are just keeping their heads down and trying to stay employed, we don’t pry and we don’t challenge.

It’d be the latter. My business traveling days are over (thank God) but there’re still some places I’d like to visit.
I’ll try to use airlines that have not yet been completely corrupted by this equity BS but there’s nothing that can be done about ground service and flight control personnel.
