The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued a health advisory to warn the public of an increase of a drug-resistant bacteria called Shigella.
There are limited antimicrobial treatments available for these particular drug-resistant strains of Shigella and it’s also easily transmissible, warned the CDC in the Friday advisory. It’s also able to spread antimicrobial resistance genes to other bacteria that infect the intestines.
Shigella infections known as shigellosis can cause a fever, abdominal cramping, tenesmus and diarrhea that is bloody.
The bacteria can be spread by a fecal-oral route, person-to-person contact, and contaminated food and water.
While typically shigellosis affects young children, the CDC says it has started to see more of the antimicrobial-resistant infections in adult populations – especially in men who have sex with men, people experiencing homelessness, international travelers and people living with HIV.

Give us two weeks and we can flatten the curve.
……allowing millions of illegal aliens from third world countries is surely the most obvious vector
What the hell does simply having HIV have to do with shigella and drug resistance? Are they equating the transmission vectors as the same?
Brings a whole new meaning to MSM.
The CDC has absolutely NO CREDIBILITY any more...none, nada, zero.
No one with a sane mind would believe a single word they have to say.
me = men
Sloppy cut/paste.
When it comes to MSM I’m a virgin.
CNN reports that the CDC issues warning over an increase of drug-resistant bacteria?
I take it then that drug-resistant bacteria has decreased.
I know from experience that invaders from “down south” exercise disgusting hygiene habits. They don’t believe in throwing soiled toilet paper into the bowl, and instead throw it on the floor or in the corners of public restrooms to spread the filth unwittingly to others. I’ve worked in retail and would routinely find soiled diapers stuffed in public merchandise display shelves. Drive around border towns like Laredo and you’ll frequently see poopy diapers in the gutters of the streets.
These animals have literally no sense of cleanliness. Appalling beyond words.
Nothing like good old hydrogen peroxide for topical use. Drug resistant bacteria find it “to die for”.
They’ve cried “wolf!” one time too many (in fact, 100 times too many).
The CDC will unwittingly tell the truth when their pet grievance groups are most at risk. You have to parse their words carefully, someone has to warn the sodomites that there is danger lurking for them. Who else will?
The CDC will just blame other unrelated factors, which is obvious to thinking people.
“The bacteria can be spread by a fecal-oral route.”
Pride.
How are the affected people going to get hydrogen peroxide far up their colon, though?
Pfizer will cure us all with injections.
You’re right.
Turns out that demographic is the source for one of the MOST virulent (highly contagious/infectious) strains of Staph. aureus known as USA-400.
1990s saw SO many HIV patients and bathhouse Barry kinds of activity that STDs and opportunistic infections like Pneumocystis carinii (and others: https://www.cdc.gov/hiv/basics/livingwithhiv/opportunisticinfections.html) rates went nearly asymptotic in the homosexual community.
You wouldn’t know this because, if you tried searching CDC or NIH for that kind of information, the word “homosexual” had been scrubbed, replaced by “men who have sex with men.”
So as not to offend the homosexuals.
So, given those dynamics alone, antibiotic prescribing also went through the price cap roof and newer deadlier strains of bacteria have evolved putting us all at higher risk from those whose lifestyle choices were already associated with very high risk of HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, CMV, HSV, and on down the list.
Then the “bisexual( (and sexually ambivalent) happily brought a ot of those bugs home to their families and friends.
Patietns I was seeing in the 1997-2005 time frame were coming in with skin infections, “spider bites” that just wouldnt respond to regular antibiotics singly or in combination. This is STILL a problem, now there are more than sporadic reports of things like common staph, UTI infectious organisms and gonorrhea (most common STD next to chlamydia) which are 100% resistant to antibiotic treatment.
Type “antibiotic” in the search window here on Freerepublic and look at the reports of drug resistance, new antibiotics, overprescribing (I get at least one journal a week with an article about this).
Mind-blowing.
But yeah, put a few hundred people together in a weekend bathhouse zoosex orgy and you’re bound to pass some bugs around.
“men who have sex with men” was CDC “newspeak” circa 1997.
It’s rare to find the more accurate, succinct, term “homosexual” in medical journals these days.
It’s like calling “homosexual” predatory priests “pedophiles” although - still - reports of upwards of 98% of all victims of Catholic church sexual abuse are MALE. Male adult vs. male child is HOMOSEXUAL, not “pedophile” activity.
JMHMO.
I learned part of the reason for this working with a couple of brothers I suspect were illegals:
One of them, particularly dumb, never threw his TP in the bowl and flushed, but threw it in the trash. When I told him that was unsanitary, he asked what he should do with it, to which I said, “Uh, you flush it.” He was amazed, because where he was from, the plumbing was so unreliable that you couldn’t flush much of anything. It would just back up and water pressure was minimal.
His brother, however, adapted just fine and flushed like everyone else. Kid was actually pretty intelligent.
Think about what the sewage and plumbing systems in 98% of Latin America must be like and this partially explains the sh¡tty hygiene.
