I am a preterist. But with that in mind, these words from 2 Timothy ring truer than ever:
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
Having been raised a liberal who became a conservative, I have long been an advocate of dialogue. Of finding the middle way. Of reaching a consensus. Knowing both sides of the aisle as I do, I had thought that there might be some point at which our two sides might find common ground or a way of living with one another.
I will now finally admit that is simply not a possibility. I take no joy in that, but there comes a time when one must admit that compromise is impossible, and that to search for it involves capitulation with alleged human beings who have blinded themselves to all but the basest of pursuits and desires...

Totally agree. I would only temper that with the need to convert some of the liberal general population to conservatism.
But work with leftists? No.

When people realize this it reminds me of Stir Crazy where the Gene Wilder character says to the Richard Pryor one as they are led into the prison—so this means we are two innocent men framed and tried and convicted and going to prison.

Many people on the left are being radicalized.
They are being pulled farther left at an accellerated rate.
Trump was the media’s greatest weapon for sliding the overton window left. If you look at most of the vilification of Trump, almost none of it actually applied to him, and almost all of it applies to Biden and the radical leftist. The lying. The fanaticism. The taking away of civil rights. The fascism. ALL that scare-mongering was as great a brain washing as any cult you could study, legitimized by the appearance of pervasive social acceptance and government authority.
These people hate!
...and they think it’s all justified. They are beyond the embryonic stage of fascist totalitarians, and they will never be able to see it in the mirror until its way too late.

There comes a time in a relationship when you realize it’s pointless to continue. IF we’re not there...we’re darn close.
If only conservatives had representation in government that actually

The lefts idea of common ground is total capitulation to all their beliefs and ideas.

Funny thing is, they’re the first ones to run for cover behind an armed government.
They did not have this coming, you miserable, loathsome, despicable harpy. This accident was the result of an overheated bearing, not the policies of Donald Trump, you half-wit clown. For most of us, our way of life ended in 2020. What with the overthrow of America (stolen election) and the after effects of the Covid restrictions deliberately imposed on us by our government.
It’s bad now, and it’s only going to get worse. Forget politics, education, the economy and everything else but your eternal future.
There’s no hope in your immediate future so put your trust fully in Christ and do the best you can until you die.
