While President Biden was in Ukraine on Monday, Russia tested an intercontinental ballistic missile that appears to have failed, according to a report.
US officials told CNN on Tuesday that Russia used a deconfliction line to notify the US in advance of the missile test, which reportedly did not pose a risk to the country.
According to the officials, the US did not view the test as an anomaly or an escalation.
The test was of a nuclear-capable heavy SARMAT missile, dubbed Satan II by NATO, and classified as a “superweapon” by the head of Russia’s aerospace research agency.
US officials believe the test failed since Russian President Vladimir Putin did not mention it in his State of the Nation address Tuesday.

Which pretty much means it's all BS.
Because he didn’t mention it in his state of the union type speech?
Clowns… nobody would brag about that in that kind of speech. Would we? DC is utterly amateur and run by too many young women.
What makes me nervous about this is that I get the impression they are saying that all Russian junk is useless (thus we are safe). They clearly had “the bomb” 50 years ago, I suspect that they still have some that ARE operational or can be made operational fairly fast. Personally, I don’t want to get nuked over this situation.
Joe can say he almost go nuked. Ha, ha! Add that to his embellished lying repertoire.
Almost certainly not the superheavy boost phase stage, but the MIRVs failed. They might have tried to pack all 15 for the first time. Shock during the flight, they likely misfired or simply fell free at apex/terminus, or even worse, during a final Fractional Orbital Bombardment (FOBS) retrograde test. LOFL.
I’ll pass on accepting the legitimacy of this story. US propaganda/Russian propaganda, 99% lies and distortions.
There is a reasonable expectation that some of the Russian missiles will not work as planned, then again our Minutemen III’s have been sitting in silos since the 1970’s and a portion of those might not work when the warmongers want to go full psycho.
Mongers are going to monger...
The Russian warmongers tested a nuclear missile and it failed. Why would they love it?
Laz I like you and especially your taste in women, so please don’t get too nutty and disappoint.
Nuclear war is a huge threat and has been for decades, which way too few of our people realize.
No one wants a nuclear war, we just might disagree on the best way to prevent one.
Ukraine gave Russia its nukes because everyone thought of course we don’t want this little country having ICBMs, let them stay with superpower Russia.
I’m not saying Ukraine should have nukes. But now as Russia has a weakened economy, losing population, somewhat ineffective military and an unstable leader, the real threat is a weak Russia with way too many damn ICBMs, which they keep waving at us.
We need to keep our deterrence sttong against both Russia and China, because those guys would wipe us out in an instant if they could get away with it.
All you lack is proof of your assertion Rat.
and all the Ruskies had to do was sabotage one railroad track. Russia has a management problems like the USA.
“If that’s the only thing you can think of then you are either an idiot, demented, or a liar.
All 3?”
Now, now don’t be so hard on KremlinBob.... He works hard for the Rubles.🤣🤣🤣🤣
What does that have to do with this news and the significance of its timing?
When I was in SAC, we had a saying -
"It only takes one nuke to ruin your whole day".
THEY ASSUMED IT FAILED BECAUSE HE DIDN’T MENTION IT? Is this assumption for real? LOL
No it didn’t. This story says nothing of the kind. Quit lying and produce proof other than “somebody thinks because he didn’t mention it” kind of BS.
A good example of:
“If you tell a lie enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it” - Joseph Goebbels
“US officials believe the test failed since Russian President Vladimir Putin did not mention it...”
That’s awfully thin gruel; a truly piss-poor excuse to label it a failure.
A mundane test comes off as mundanely planned and our DS morons call it a failure ONLY because — ENTIRELY unlike every last mentally masturbating leftist and RINO warmonger in Washington DC — the President of Russia doesn’t think mundane things are worthy of inclusion in an address to his countrymen, and the world?
I tend to think it was a successful, boring, normal, “yeah, they do that every once in awhile,” kind of test, and the stupid headline is ONLY there to invite Biden to say something more stupid than usual like Putin tried to nuke his ass while he was in Kyiv.
I don’t doubt there was a test.
I think it probably went off without a hitch.
I dismiss out-of-hand the Deep State, tailored-for-public consumption headline.
AND I’ll lay out FOR REAL the phony “warning” that the networks tossed at us ahead of Reagan’s election:
That f’n Corn Pop bastard “is gonna get us into a shooting war with the [former] Soviets!”
‘Cuz the left ALWAYS ends up ACTUALLY doing what they pathetically accuse Conservatives of doing.
KNOW THIS WITH CERTAINTY:
There’s enough fully-operational Russian nuclear capability to give ol’ Joe Stolen a Mushroom Cloud for a hat, and have spares to bless Gavin Newsom with a brilliant orange bouquet to match the spirngtime blooming of the California Poppies.
I spent High School 3 miles from facilities storing missiles for our nuclear subs. NOT AT ALL happy to think about being put back into the Bear’s sights, again, after utter MORONS set about re-freezing all the Cold War ice that had been thawing so decently for three decades.
Cue “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”

I’m actually looking forward to a nuclear war.
