The Fetterman story is proof that the media are liars.

They knew, but they pushed him anyway over a medical doctor for agenda purposes.

Control of the Senate was more important than their institutional credibility.

as one human to another, I do have compassion for the guy

As a citizen, I hope all those in PA who knowingly voted for him go F themselves. They have political blood on their hands.

“good job Pennsylvania!”

Were you referring to the PA 2020 vote?

Fetterman has been gone for years, that’s why he ran for the Senate is for the free medical treatment and a fat salary while being treated at taxpayers expense for the rest of his life...he lived with his parents for over 40 years to cover
his medical expense.

The party is going to make him “give it up”. It was always the plan....and he knows it. The only reason he won is because there are 500,000 more registered Dems in Pa..

For those who know more about the rules - please answer.
He can’t vote from the hospital - so until replaced or until he returns the dems have lost a vote? True?
He will probably be made to resign if it becomes obvious that he won’t return.
The governor will appoint a replacement- true?

I searched the basic answer. I didn’t look for any loopholes that might work around the rules. So, there could be applicable rules that work around what I said. I do not know that.

If it is a floor vote, you have to be there to vote. If you are unable to vote, because you are in the hospital, the other side might be willing to do a courtesy and have one member sit out the vote to keep it balanced. You are allowed to vote in absence if you are serving on committees.

There is no legal way to replace Fetterman if he is unwilling to resign over health reasons. He cannot be made to resign, he must do it voluntarily.

If he does resign or dies in office, the Governor would appoint an interim replacement and usually replaces a sitting member with somebody of the same party. A Dem for a Dem or a Rep for a Rep.

So the best thing for America is for this brain-damaged ogre to be institutionalized for the next six years … while refusing to step down.

It would be a good lesson for the retarded voters of Pennsylvania to learn.

What voters? He was elected by mail in ballot, not voters.

Inbreeding is real there in Pennsylvania. My impression from spending a week there. The Amish are the only good thing about that state. And Philadelphia is obviously a mega-hole. And my mother is from Western Pennsylvania, where the coal fields were and still are.

And Dems expect that he will continue to VOTE RAT from the hospital. Curious, doesn’t he “need” to actually be present to vote? Almost smells like fraud.
