There sure are a lot of these Desantis threads on Free Republic. And the comments tend to devolve into some Trump supporters bashing DeSantis and vice versa.
Maybe DeSantis will surprise us all and decide not to run for president in 2024.
To: conservative98
I’d bet DeSantis will not run because he knows the votes would be rigged.

Does the timeline include when he drops out and eventually endorses Trump?

Most seekers of POTUS wait until the most opportune time to announce. Some go early, some wait until they secure some important initial support, some evaluate the field and prospects, and some wait until they complete important state business first.
As Ron DeSantis ( RDS ) waits, he is wisely building some suspense and name recognition. He also refuses to fight w fellow GOPers, demonstrating wisdom and the the development of a big a "tent" as absolutely possible.
BTW, if Jeb or any RINO or border weakie supports RDS, that does not mean RDS supports them. Reagan knew that dynamic quite well, in fact.

Sounds like a good plan... if Trump wasn’t running.

But he isn’t running.
I’ve been told twice today.

My concern is his wife. If she gets sicker he will likely not wish to run and I can totally sympathize.

“...saying that he would embark on a tour to promote his new book, βThe Courage to be Free,β”
Of course, DeSantis’s courage is equal to or probably overshadows the courage of hundreds of thousands of American who have faced enemy fire. Yes sir. Nothing beats the courage to trick people into voting for you.

Any politician, but especially any governor, who has a “timeline for his decision” has already decided.
