Ron DeSanctimonious wants to cut your Social Security and Medicare
TRUTH Social ^ | 02/19/2023 | Donald J. Trump

Posted on 02/19/2023 9:50:01 PM PST by Trump20162020

Ron DeSanctimonious wants to cut your Social Security and Medicare, closed up Florida & its beaches, loves RINOS Paul Ryan, Jeb Bush, and Karl Rove (disasters ALL!), is backed by Globalist’s Club for NO Growth, Lincoln Pervert Project, & “Uninspired” Koch — And it only gets worse from there. He is a RINO in disguise!, whose Poll numbers are dropping like a rock. Good luck Ron!

“In the next couple decades the current Social Security tax rate will cover about two-thirds of the anticipated payouts. Either the benefits will have to be cut, the taxes increased or the non-SS part of the budget raided to pay for Social Security.
And Medicare is in even worse financial trouble.”

This is the current misrepresentation. The government has 100 different ways to cut spending before even looking st SS or Mecicare. It is a scare tactic. If they eliminated only the duplicate government agencies, the trillions they would save would leave plenty for SS.

“But still he’s going after a non candidate?”

With the Wall Street crowd backing DeSantis to the tune of millions of dollars and his huge organization, yes, he is a candidate. He just thinks he can play it coy, and righteous, and noble and be above the fray for as long as possible before he jumps in.

Like some GOP lady said, DeSantis would do well to not get into a brawl with Trump in 2024. If RDS wins, he will come out bruised and bloodied. Then he can easily lose in general. Democrats will use Trump’s words against RDS 24-7 in Ads.
RDS is failrly young. He can wait until 2028.

In 2024 whether Trump wins in general or not does not matter. RDS will have easier time winning, especially if Trump again loses in 2024 to Biden. The country will be more than ready for a change.

Carter gave us Reagan.
Obama gave us Trump.
8 years of Biden will give us Desantis.

I've never excused DeSantis lockdown of Florida

Good. other than in the context that includes Trump with regard to who is more responsible for issuing the first lockdown request. In that context, Trump is more responsible, and his attacks of DeSantis now are straight out of the book of Alinsky.

Fauci gave guidelines to Trump. Trump gave guidelines to DeSantis and the states.

There's not a dimes worth of difference between both.

And I should add, DeSantis added to those guidelines with his order. His quarantine order made me an outlaw for visiting my mother in Florida without quarantining.

...try to build his larger than life image as a fighter...

Unfortunately, the truth is that Trump was never a fighter while in office. He rolled over for Fauci and the CDC. He rolled over on deficit spending. He rolled over for Mexican payment of the wall. He even rolled over and didn't take the fight to the Deep State that was blitzkrieging him at every turn.

Trump was/is a personality. He's not a leader. Four more years of leadership like his will destroy what's left of this country.

As Laz mentioned in his earlier post, I'm just sick and tired. The guy is falling apart and in need of serious intervention (not that he would listen to folks who would try to help him).

Trump should hope for a DeSantis presidency. Without it, we will be looking at a President Newsom or Biden. With those two, Trump will be looking at his remaining years either in jail or in court. DeSantis is his only real hope for peace...

It's a good point, if you have any proof that Fauci gave the lockdown guidelines to Trump, before Trump released them? This would be very important to make that point, since we do know that Trump has often stated for the record he did not do what Fauci requested. DeSantis has also expressed regret for the lockdowns, which Trump has never done.

DeSantis added to those guidelines with his order. His quarantine order made me an outlaw for visiting my mother in Florida without quarantining.

Trump's lockdown guidelines recommended ending all discretionary travel. DeSantis was only temporarily blocking travel from New York and New Jersey, due to their explosive covid rates, which is where I'm assuming you must live.

I agree with what you said, and it’s a difficult process to lose faith in someone you placed so much trust and faith in before. But it shows how outlandish Trump has become. Once those glasses come off things suddenly look a whole lot different too.

Do not hold your breath. Haley is not the threat to Trump anywhere near DS is right now. If Haley and Trump are the only 2 remaining in battle for nomination, it could bleed virgin ears.

The thing is, his little army on echo-chamber TS is only a small fraction of voters. I call TS the “Q Quackhouse”.* It’s infested with Q followers, even worse than FR.

The Q followers will vote for him no matter what he does or doesn’t do, will make excuses for him ‘til Kingdom Come. Yet he patronizes them. They’ll follow him over a cliff like the lemmings they are. So why alienate voters he needs by catering to them? Seems to me, it’s just to feed his ego.

If Trump thinks his pitiful Q Quackhouse TS is his real source of power ... well, Heaven help the poor man. It’s just a tiny segment of the voter population and a much ridiculed one. But Trump adulation certainly abounds there!

*Guess I had a very minor moment of infamy on a lib blog after coining that term back when:

I may have worded it poorly in that post, but I’ve said many times before and believe it’s the “mean tweets” that are his true source of power. Truth social just ensures he’s able to send them out, where they’re then amplified 1,000x by other sources.

The mean tweets give his legion of supporters everywhere the impression he is “fighting” for them, when in reality the tough talk is about all he ever really does.

That impression is crucial, because whenever you try to point out the plethora of ridiculously bad things Trump has done, all they ever come back with is, “yeah, true, but he’s such a fighter!”

But mean tweets aren’t really fighting, they have no real weight whatsoever. A good example is how Trump was beating his chest on his website about Rihanna, when the truth is her simple cease and desist letter had gotten action when it counted - forcing Trump to stop playing her music at his rallies.

Oh but they don’t care about that. Not the hypocrisy of calling her talentless while playing her music at his rallies, or how he gave in to her simple letter, no, none of that matters. That he posted something mean on the internet about her later, is what counts to them, apparently. It shows his amazing power, and how he’s a fighter! /S

I know he hasn’t declared. That wasn’t even close to the issue.

I have also heard the other two pieces of “news” in your post.

My post is hardly “premature,” with everyone on FR arguing about the issue and some of our posters spouting out anti-Trump insults in reaction to his latest message. I should let their poorly advised criticisms just sit there to be read by everyone without countering them?

This is a discussion board. You just don’t like what I’m saying. So counter it intelligently instead of telling me I don’t know what’s happening and ludicrously suggesting that Trump doesn’t know what he’s doing. He does.
