Trump in '24 loses every state he lost in 2020 and possibly more. He takes the GOP House down with him, all hopes of recapturing the Senate, and likely a few Statehouses as well.
And' the Republican Party will deserve every ounce of it.
It'll be a catastrophe.
So I went back and found the EO from DeSantis you claimed was so horrible:
https://www.flgov.com/wp-content/uploads/orders/2020/EO_20-51.pdf
After review, I found the WHO referenced once, only. Here is that excerpt:
“WHEREAS, the World Health Organization declared COVJD-19 a Public Health Emergency of International Concern; and...”
This was part of a string of nine (9) total “WHEREAS” declarations.
So yes, he cited the WHO, once, in the EO directing adherence to Trump’s CDC, and you think that pathetic red herring excuses Trump from his nationwide lockdown guidelines? What in the world has happened to you.
“Nikki Haley who has announced. Of course he’s afraid to go after her.”
Yep, you nailed it. Trump trembles in fear of her .05 percent polling.
“...your willful ignorance is on full display...”
Could you document my willful ignorance based on what I posted? Just one little bit of ignorance. I’m waiting impatiently.
“WHEREAS, the World Health Organization declared COVJD-19 a Public Health Emergency of International Concern; and, WHEREAS...”
Just to be clear that’s all there was to it.
Am I missing something here?
There's even reports out there that Trump had to call DeSantis to convince him to lockdown. Do you need me to do dig those up for you too?
I'm not interested in any "report" that can't be verified with irrefutable evidence.
Why do you consider one of them definitive and exculpatory, and the other a "red herring?"
I've never excused DeSantis lockdown of Florida, other than in the context that includes Trump with regard to who is more responsible for issuing the first lockdown request. In that context, Trump is more responsible, and his attacks of DeSantis now are straight out of the book of Alinsky.
But even going down your angle of DeSantis and the lockdowns he in fact implemented, as Governor, are you not aware that he has now expressed some regret, and that this regret is in many ways at the core of his apparent refusal to support Trump?
And would that not be a reason to support DeSantis over Trump, on this issue? DeSantis REGRETS the lockdowns. Doesn't that put him ahead of Trump on the issue, who has never admitted a single mistake his entire life? Or are you going so far to want to completely excuse Trump for his nationwide lockdown guidelines, much less never expressing any regret?
It was nothing more than a half dozen words stating that the WHO had declared an emergency, it was nothing along the lines of submission to them for policy or anything as you inferred. A red herring of extreme proportions.
Sad, but true. If he were truly as “wise” as his cult following believes, and truly loved America, was a true conservative, and truly wanted MAGA to win, he’d read the writing on the wall and gracefully retire from running for president, be mostly quiet and try to act like an elder statesman. He would gain respect and influence that way. History would lionize him for that. But no ... he has to act like this. It seems he can’t help himself.
O’Dea won the primary. A win for DeSantis a loss for trump. Of course he lost with Oz too.
Trump knows that his true power over his army (which is what he's trying to develop) are these very mean tweets. It's why he spent all of 2021 setting up his new website, instead of doing what he promised and raised $250M to do - investigate and implement election security.
Trump knows that website, full of his devotees, is his true source of power. Whenever he posts something on Truth, they all fall down in adoration. He only posts a portion of those same posts over on Gab, or Gettr, where they get a much different treatment.
He uses these mean tweets to try to build his larger than life image as a fighter, when in TRUTH (pun intended) he's often just using Alinsky tricks to cling onto power.
I get that. But still he’s going after a non candidate? Seems weird and obsessive.
Bs! The old geezers were young workers who paid out of pocket all of their lives. Their money should be waiting for them, with interest! They paid in advance of their retirement.
If it’s not there, who took it?
You’re falling for the BS line intended to hide the theft, and continue it.
Tell that to all the enthusiasts who swear they will only ever vote for Trump.
Trump keeps digging his own hole. I wish he’d get off the junior high school nickname thing.
DeSantis didn't endorse O'Dea in the primary. He endorsed O'Dea in the general election. And the Bush backed O'Dea lost badly.
From an early-Trump-champion, and his biggest fan.....
....to just-about-sick-of-his-shit.
I paid SS & Medicare taxes for 37 years, always the maximum rate. I signed up for benefits at 62. I have already received all my taxees paid back in benefits. I will not uell and scream if they cut SS to benefit young workers. I am not selfish old gizzer.
Why should Trump change? That tactic worked great in 2016.
