Poll: Most Americans Voters Prefer Businesses to Stay Out of Politics

The majority of likely general election voters say they say they would prefer to do business with companies that do not engage in politics and tolerate viewpoints of employees and customers across the board, a poll found.

When 1,092 respondents were asked their opinion for a Convention of States Action/Trafalgar Group poll, 78.8 percent said they were more likely to do business with a company that stayed politically neutral and tolerated viewpoints of employees and customers across the board. Just under 59 percent said they were “much more likely.”

That is compared to 10.1 percent of the respondent who said they are less likely to do business with a company that stayed politically neutral and tolerated viewpoints of employees and customers across the board, with 6.5 percent saying “much less likely.” Overall, 11 percent said they were not sure.

When looking at political parties, the results showed that there is large bipartisan support for businesses to stay politically neutral. There was 82.3 percent of Republican voters, 76.9 percent of Democrat voters, and 77.1 percent of independent voters who all said they were more likely to do business with a company that stayed politically neutral and tolerated viewpoints of employees and customers across the board.

The poll comes when many companies have been pushing political agendas. In fact, big investment firms — such as BlackRock — are pushing “net zero” initiatives to fight climate change, which is one of the main components of the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policy movement.

Why turn off half your customers at any time? It’s because they ca. Capitalism’s been good to them. That plus the freedoms they’re against. They have no conscience. The NFL is scared of blacks. Need I say more?

Gee, I would prefer politicians to stay out of business (or at least out of the way of business).

The Progressive Insurance Ad with TV DAD is about the worst of all.

We all have a problem.
We hate identity theft perps and NONE go to prison, they get high paid jobs as hacking experts for tech firms. We lose.

We hate red light cameras that cause accidents and make governments richer. Too bad.

A large majority say they want TV pharmaceutical ads banned.
Too bad. They practically have more TV time than shows do.
“Watch for these side effects and inform your health care practitioner if you develop.....

Now they don’t like woke politics on TV.
Neither do we.
Someone said to get a good tech job, especially in California, you have to show you are totally woke and have skeletons in the closet such as liking Trump or voting for the GOP. Prove woke or get out on the sidewalk, job seeker.
Like academia.

Several more reasons to be angry.

People in our country demand excellence in the sports teams they support but accept incompetence and ineptitude in the politicians they vote for.

There are a lot of disconnects in our society. Just saying.

...until they do business with those ‘woke’ companies. It’s like people who agree that the media lies, and then immediately repeat the lies from the media claiming they are facts.

True.

Polls showed people wanted McDonald’s to offer healthy foods. When they put them on the menu the restaurants had to throw away most of the food each day and finally dropped them.
One was the “seaweed” salad which didn’t really have much of a form of seaweed but got that media laughingstock label. Never recovered.

After TV was called “a vast wasteland” people complained they wanted more high class, serious good TV. But, obviously, almost nobody watched the shows. I would sneak a peek at Trends in the Town Council Debates of the Early Seychelle Islands: an Inside Look. You can still watch Your State Legislature Today.

It’s pretty ridiculous with the extreme over representation of blacks in commercials.

Business should stay out of politics, Unfortunately, some American companies are headed up by foreigners, who doesn’t care about our freedoms.
