When they put the word “comprehensive” together in a phrase with the word “reform”, you know it’s time to run for your fiscal, moral and sovereign lives.

Pence hasn’t won an election since he was governor. He rode Trump coattails. He caved to big corporations on religious freedom after his last election. He should shut his mouth and spend the rest of his life selling life insurance.

RE: aunts cousins....

Yes the multiplying effect of chain migration means millions more than the already heavy burden of border crossers to be fed and housed with medical and surgical care by taxpayers.

“Pence’s staff goes around with Ukrainian Flag Pins.”
*****************************************************

Linda and Pence are old neocon RINO’s and need to be booted from the Party. They both work in concert with the Left on way too many important issues. How can the scumbag Pence suggest reforming SS and at the same time pay Ukraine’s pension obligations? I mean is this clown for real? He and his buddies want to spend billions (soon to be trillions when rebuilding begins) on Ukraine while cutting back on American citizens? That’s the exact opposite of MAGA, and these two are nothing but corrupt traitors doing the bidding of their donors.

Pence is absolutely right, of course. This used to be the mainstream position in the Republican Party until Trump moved the party to the left.

Politically, there is nothing to be gained by talking about social security. It will be a game of budgetary chicken until it implodes.

Social Security was adopted into law in 1935. At that time, the average life expectancy in the US was 60.7 years. That number peaked at nearly 79 in 2020 (thanks to COVID - and vaccines), it's dipped to about 77 now, but the problem is clearly that the SS retirement age has barely moved while the baby-boomer population funding this scheme is almost entirely retired.

The benefits age should have been decreed to move along with life expectancies over the past 9 decades. The public wouldn't tolerate bumping it all the way to 82 or 82 in one shot today, but slowly incrementing the number toward the mid-70's while decreasing the benefits for those entering the system (essentially mandating 401K-style savings) may be the only way to save the system.

It’s more than a little crazy that Republicans are spending Trillions - and lots of Woke Leftist Goodies so the bills pass quickly, but then want to lecture Social Security recipients that paid in their whole lives.

They admit to not even reading the Bills! We had to pass it. We have to help Ukraine.

“comprehrensive”
Yes.
So many times people say later “how did that get into the legislation?” for something really unpopular. Part of the politician-favoring deal. We should demand one at a time topics in bills, except for enabling details directly pertaining to the topic. Not a cornucopia of pork.

He should change his name to “Talking Point Pence”. Or “the walking talking point”.

What are the donkey party bigwigs giving him or promising him down the line for disingenuously presenting this blatant Non Sequitur?

Social Security adjustment is entirely out of discussion. Its suicide to talk about it, people can come up with all kinds of “yes it would work better with this” arguments all they want, all the day long.

Its impossible to make those changes, why? Because no one is going to give up their entitlements and will be extremely angry at anyone who suggests it.

Don’t bother with it, don’t even try. When it goes bankrupt, it will happen when the entire Fed goes.

Companies did away with Pensions based on the promise of Social Security.

They are in the business of guaranteeing money to Ukrainian Citizens now.

How is it there’s money for Everything else? They pass Multi Trillion Spending Bills per year.

FBIs new Headquarters is going to dwarf the Pentagon.

How many Billion for a VAX database?

I disagree, Pence saying this is exactly what the rats want. Pence would know this of course. He’s high profile enough to give the MSM/DNC their weapon. Cue up Linda to propose a national abortion ban..again.
