The immunity generated from an infection was found to be “at least as high, if not higher” than that provided by two doses of an mRNA vaccine.Immunity acquired from a Covid infection provides strong, lasting protection against the most severe outcomes of the illness, according to research published Thursday in The Lancet — protection, experts say, that’s on par with what’s provided through two doses of an mRNA vaccine.
Infection-acquired immunity cut the risk of hospitalization and death from a Covid reinfection by 88% for at least 10 months, the study found.
“This is really good news, in the sense that protection against severe disease and death after infection is really quite sustained at 10 months,” said the senior study author, Dr. Christopher Murray, the director of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington.

There is a combination Covid vaccine generally protective against the original and delta strains I believe.
If you get a natural infection you are normally protected against the variant that infected you, but probably less so against the other.
The immunities from vaccination and natural infection decrease over time.
I got a Covid infection in December 2022 despite Moderna Covid vaccination in the first half of 2021.

And I lived 8 months of HELL at my job because I had Covid and followed the science. I was literally treated as a Leper...Excluded from meetings (not a bad thing), excluded from lunch, having to wear a mask while the “vaccinated” didn’t, excluded from my walking group, talk I was a crazy conspiracy nut when I would send studies on “Natural immunity” from The Cleveland clinic and John Hopkins.
And to this day, I will see signs “unvaccinated must be masked”. The stupid will NEVER end!
But headline implied they were the same while study has found natural might be better or the same.
Multi antigenic immunity is superior… always… since the beginning of time.
The way I look at it-—Natural immunity sees ALL facets of the virus. From the beginning, middle, end and variants. The vaccine just give a snapshot of 1 spike proteins but not he variants....
I am sure I had Covid a second time, but it was basically a cold. Sore throat, stuffiness and that was about it. My smell was off for about a month after....
However, there’s young people where I work and they have had multiple boosters and Covid at least two more to three more times. Each time getting worse.
To me, the media and leftists ignoring Natural immunity from day one was suspect. Then they claim the science is settled!
However, that would make all science before 2020 regarding viruses wrong....so which one is it?

I had covid in January 2020. Mild cold symptoms. Never got vaccinated. In December of the same year my doctor tested me for covid antibodies when I got my annual physical. Positive for antibodies. Now, I am so glad I did not.

I never got the Kung Flu- or at least didn’t get it that i know of. I’ve never took the Kung Flu vax.
We were in Florida summer of 2021 when Delta was swarming- I never caught anything. Traveled as usual throughout the lockdowns, when i could. Was at an indoor party in June, 2022 when a half dozen people got the Kung Flu with bad symptoms, including my vaccinated wife. I never got a thing.
I’ve had two IGG tests- both times my anti-body count was over the top. The first time in August 2021, i scored 26.2H when >14.1 meant you had the anti-bodies. The doctor told me i had more anti-bodies than most vaxxed people.
The second time in June 2022 after the party i mentioned, I scored >150H when >1 indicated you had the anti-bodies.
After first telling me the results were a mistake and they needed to redo the test, then listening to my story, the woman at the health facility said, “Mr XXX, I’m not your doctor but there’s absolutely no reason for you to take this vaccine.”
