Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro, who took office last month after having been state attorney general, said "the system is fallible, and the outcome is irreversible."
Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro said Thursday that he will not sign any execution warrants while in office and called on the General Assembly to abolish the death penalty...

I await Shapiro's views on assisted suicide or Medically Assisted Dying (MAD) which the widely talked about "Mental Health Crisis" is a pretext for.
So here in Philly , you’ll be able to kill as many people you want and get the same sentence as if you killed one .
But he will make them move to a lovely little town in Ohio ...
Why should someone die if they eliminate all those carbon emissions...sarc
You voted for this clown now live with him.
I wouldn’t get to close to your loved ones with this trash running the asylum.
Another democrat loser softy on crime.
That's why there are so many checks and balances that the chances of dying of natural causes on Death Row are higher than the chances of ever being executed.
The rate of recidivism following execution is zero. Nothing that the justice system does is more effective.
What murderers do, is irreversible.
For the ones with solid evidence, multiple witnesses, video and/or otherwise, there’s no reason not to execute them.
Well I guess everybody in America voted must’ve for Biden , so we have to live with him too
These are the same assh0les that arrest men based on heresay evidence of one female phone call. They toss men out of the homes they own, and destroy their lives, based on heresay.
Irreversible destruction and imprisonment. Cantgetthat time back. No consequences for the liars, government wont then go after the liars to right wrongs.
These people have zero cred claiming when they spout this crap.
I honestly don’t have a problem with this. Our criminal justice system is so fouled up — and so highly politicized — that I have no confidence in the integrity of judges, prosecutors, and even jurors to protect the rights of American citizens who are unjustly accused of crimes.
I’m not getting too excited I call myself Pro-Life but as I noted earlier in the thread we are moving in the direction of assisted suicide as a means to address the “mental health crisis” being bandied about by the media-politicians.
I don’t want to see that happen.
Most executions you read about are for crimes committed generally 30-35 years prior. Say a guy commits his crime in 1985, he’s 30 and next week his execution comes up and he’s now 67. (Exception Tim McVeigh)
Is that really the death penalty??
Gee lucky they didn’t elect that awful conservative republican. He didn’t worship abortion. So they have the leftist pig who worships murderers.
He was an Anti-Semite as well...sarc
I’m with you. Not a popular opinion, but I’m sure at some time an innocent person has been executed. Certainly many have been exonerated after decades in jail.
I honestly don’t have a problem with this
