A California teacher, who lost her job after refusing to comply with a California district's gender policies, citing Christian beliefs, is blowing the whistle on the expectations she felt as a teacher to not only hide students' gender transitions from parents, but also to keep them in the dark through lying.

In a notice under Superintendent Trenton Hansen's letterhead, reviewed by Fox News Digital, the district said they couldn't accommodate Tapia's Christian beliefs which prohibited her from withholding information on gender transitions from kids' parents.
"Consequentially, the District will release you from your employment effective at the end of the day on January 31, 2023," the notice said.

There are judges, even in California, that respect 14th Amendment protections.

But I wouldn't be surprised if California taxpayers ultimately paid the Berkeley 14A settlement.
And while some Christian denominations seemingly wash their hands of government authority because it is "evil," 14A protections in this example, note that Acts 22:23-29 shows that the Holy Spirit led Apostle Paul to claim his Roman citizenship to get out of a flogging.
The admonition is right there in the Bible with regard to the time when Christians will be punished for their beliefs.

Maybe we need both?
Any parents who have their children still in public school have their eyes pen by now and are approving of the government indoctrination and manipulation of their children. It is too well known for that not to be the case. I have to believe that most of the population believes that the children belong to the State and it is up to the State to make of them whatever suits the State. I have no sympathy with people who complain about the public schools. They cannot change them. Even Florida which has made some progress at blunting the evil will slip back as soon as DeSantis is no longer governor. Parents who actually care about their childrens’ futures have already removed them from that system.
