The House Judiciary Committee, led by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), has sent subpoenas to five prominent U.S. Big Tech executives, demanding information on their censorship practices.

“Today, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) subpoenaed the chief executive officers of Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Meta, and Microsoft for documents and communications relating to the federal government’s reported collusion with Big Tech to suppress free speech,” the committee announced in a statement Wednesday.

“You mean he’s Gowdy?”

I’m afraid we have more “Gowdy’s” than is good for our party.

‘Sound and fury signifying nothing’.

Good for him.

Yep Its a start. Jorden's been a stellar warrior. Not sure why people on FR are throwing him under the bus.

Yes I know we have all been burned before. Give the guy a chance.

I was just going to post he’s talking tough and reminds me of Gowdy, just hope he actually has some teeth to go along with the tough talk.

Not sure why people on FR are throwing him under the bus.

1. Knee jerk reactions.

2. Shallow thinking, a symptom of low IQ

3. Following bad example of Gowdy and assuming others are the same.

Take your pick.

There’s a reason to be skeptical.

Show me the indictments. Then we can talk.

Indictments can NOT come BEFORE investigations, is how I expect things to happen.

The “teeth” of maintaining law and order belong to the DOJ. House Oversight can question and make recommendations, but they are toothless when it comes enforcement, including prosecution.

Our DOJ is corrupt to the core. What are we going to do about it?

Not a Congressional power.

I’ll give him a chance. Just run against Sherrod Brown for the senate-2024. Cut the crap. If there’s a better candidate on our side then go for it. Until then you are all phonies.

Well, the House has the purse strings. They don’t need anything else to get response. Don’t jump to conclusions yet.

Cut their payroll in half and let them figure out how to make that work.

The payroll cuts I am suggesting are at DOJ, FBI, and State Department illegally sencoring free speech.

I know this may sound a little crazy, but why doesn’t the government just go after the government to find out about collusion? I mean, you don’t need subpoenas and warrants, you just go get it, right? Why go through all the hassle with a private business?

While his investigations have turned up primae facie evidence of criminal activities, there haven’t been any indictments AFTER Gowdy’s investigations.

That’s the point.

Payroll cuts? How about “hung by the neck until dead?” Well, “ none dare call it . . . .”

Yes, I have that book, some where in my library. A friend of mine gave it to me. He was a member of John Birch Society.

I actually knew a few of them when I lived in NM. And when I lived in Amarillo, Texas.

It was acceptable back then. Some pretty smart people took part in that.

When I was GOP County Chairman in a county in NM you could count on them voting. Registration was 5 Dems to 1 GOP there, but we (GOP) had most of the Federal positions at the time.
