Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg shifted part of the blame for the recent derailment of a train carrying toxic chemicals in Ohio on the Trump administration reversing a little-known safety rule. Buttigieg noted Tuesday evening that his agency had taken a series of steps to improve rail safety through "historic investments," but said it was constrained by the Trump administration action. In 2018, the Department of Transportation (DOT) withdrew a rule proposed three years earlier requiring trains carrying certain dangerous chemicals to utilize electronically controlled pneumatic (ECP) brakes, saying the technology's benefits were inconclusive.

Ouch!
Great video. A lot of information I did not know. Obviously the video of the train wheel sparking was a security cam that belonged to a private business, and not the railroad. No telling if anyone was watching that video live when it happened.
Buttplug is so far out of his depth......
This guy shows how ridiculous the left has become. He has also alleged only people of color ride on tall buses. Like SHS said it’s between “normal” and “crazy”.
Biggest argument against the BS artist is that the 1st thing Biden did in office was to roll back everything trump did
I had high hopes for Mayor Pete but unfortunately I don’t think he is gay enough to handle dangerous situations like this. We need a transportation secretary who is gay enough to rise to the occasion when we need they/them.
DOT’s constrained because they have a silly man child with mental issues running the department.
He doesn’t have “issues” — HE HAS SERIOUS PROBLEMS!
THAT one act started the Recession.
Wow, I thought I’d seen them all, but that was one I’ missed. Thanks.
“....and it keeps on going...”
So, all is well.
I miss 1969’s common sense, compared to today’s mind numbing ignorance.
Bwahahahahahahahahahaha

Jennifer Homendy - NTSB Chair clears the air on ECP finger pointing:
The ECP braking rule would’ve applied ONLY to HIGH HAZARD FLAMMABLE TRAINS. The train that derailed in East Palestine was a MIXED FREIGHT TRAIN containing only 3 placarded Class 3 flammable liquids cars.
This means even if the rule had gone into effect, this train wouldn’t have had ECP brakes.

A Classic response using percentages...
“A group representing major railroads said last week 99.9% of all hazmat shipments reach their destination without incident and the hazmat accident rate has declined by 55% since 2012.”
