Prigozhin admitted that he created and financed a "troll factory"
Businessman and founder of Wagner PMCs Evgeny Prigozhin admitted for the first time that he created and financed the "troll factory". He said this in response to a request from Der Spiegel that Prigozhin was an alleged financier of the so-called "Internet Research Agency".
"I have never been just a financier of the Internet Research Agency. I invented it, I created it, I managed it for a long time," he said.

In January 2023, Igor Ashmanov, an IT entrepreneur and founder of the Kribrum company, told RTVI that in 2013 Prigozhin tried to hire his company to create a platform for his "Olga trolls", but they refused. Prigozhin, in response to the editorial's question about the meeting with Ashmanov, confirmed that he had met with him. "Indeed, I met with Ashmanov. A good level specialist. However, we did not agree on the price, we hired other innovative specialists and went through a wonderful and very happy path with them," he said.

In February 2021, the Federal Bureau of Investigation put Prigozhin on the wanted list on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud the United States, interference in US domestic politics and an attempt to influence the presidential elections in the period from 2014 to 2016. The FBI has set a monetary reward of up to $250,000 for information that may lead to the arrest of the businessman. In 2022, the US State Department offered a reward of up to $10 million for information about foreign interference in American elections.
According to the FBI, Prigozhin was the main sponsor of the St. Petersburg company "Internet Research Agency" and authorized a massive information campaign inside the United States in order to influence the outcome of the presidential election. The FBI statement also says that the agency and Prigozhin were behind the theft of personal data of US citizens and the creation of hundreds of fake accounts in social networks.

The ‘Internet Research Agency’ is child’s play compared to the neocon warmongers in America. All they did was amplify what the right/left were saying. On the other hand, the neocons trolls are comparable to China/North Korea/Iran agitprop whereas tens of thousands of innocent people die.

Troll Factories are all Leftist Idiots. They say they are from Canada. They have 50 twitter accounts that auto generate spam and lies. And they harass and conservatives and try anything to get them banned.
I am no fan of Putin, but have never seen anyone who I could identify as related to Wagner Group. Except a few here on FR who can easily be identified.
There are NO “good guys” in this conflict. Only bad guys.

Sweden cherished its long-standing tradition of neutrality. It went clamoring to join NATO only.because it saw Russia as an aggressive threat. NATO is defensive. Russia is obviously aggressive and has stated both territorial ambitions and nostalgia for the Soviet era.
