"Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses a recent counter-trend to many of these very blue states not only banning guns and gun rights, but doing so in a lighting fast fashion, which is State law enforcement speaking quite openly and publicly about their beliefs in the effectiveness, or lack thereof, in much of this gun control legislation. Well along comes the Arkansas Sheriffs' Association, who fortunately, does not have a tyrannical Governor like so many of the other states we have covered here on Washington Gun Law, but instead chose to tell the ATF what they think of the new Pistol Brace Rule. What's even more impressive than the letter itself, is what the Arkansas State Legislature did in 2021 to ensure that the citizens of Arkansas will continue to live free, like Americans. What can we all learn from Arkansas? Find out and arm yourself with education.

Similar to my time in Pennsylvania, the sheriffs are very pro freedom. They answer to the voters. As it should be. The police are a different force altogether and answer to the mayor. The state police have their own agenda entirely and answer to the governor.
When one did not respond, the others had no problem stepping in.
The sheriff is far more commonly leveraged in Arkansas but I find the regular police department isn’t quite as “wise” as the sheriffs are.
The ATF is worse than the FBI. It should be abolished.
Funny thing this: yesterday around noon a DFW news station had a”special” on about local sheriffs departments who were members of a patriot organization of national sheriffs. It was very anti patriot and fast all sheriffs who belong to or supported these groups as evil. How strange for that to be on Sunday afternoon.
Interesting, and with profound implications beyond just gun laws.
“Nullification” almost got us into a Civil War in the early 1830s over a tariff dispute. The Federal Government backed down, but simultaneously declared nullification as being a threat to the Union under the Force Bill, which was also nullified, but since the tariff was “fixed” no specific action took place.
This incident telegraphed the eventual Civil War a few decades later.
Arkansas is nullifying federal law. The Feds cannot accept nullification in any form, because it would sharply limit their power that they are counting on to remake America. Recasting the 2nd Amendment in the governments favor is a foundational element of growing government.
So this will probably be a bigger deal than just the specific act.
If any event ever illustrated the ultimate authority in the USA is the local Sheriff, the Nevada rancher event did. When the Sheriff finally told the BLM and FBI FEDs to leave, they left.
Thank God for the Sheriff of Butler County, Ohio. During the Fauci-China COVID crap, he said, “My department is not going to be the mask police.” We enjoyed a lot of live bands and dances in Middletown and Hamilton all through COVID, while Dayton (Montgomery County) shut things down.

The ATF should be a connivance store.
ALL of these departments are evil.
The constitution doesn’t tell us what we can or cannot do, it tells the federal government what they can do or do.
Ergo, there should be NO federal policing for us citizens. It’s all at the state level.
He also reports on other states and national gun law news, he's a great source for all things pertaining to the 2nd Amendment and the gun-grabbers efforts to thwart it.
