Canada's Defence Minister Anita Anand would not speculate on where the object came from.
She described it as cylindrical in shape but said it was smaller than the Chinese balloon shot down off the coast of South Carolina in the US a week ago.
It was flying at 40,000ft and posed a risk to civilian air traffic when it was brought down about 100 miles from the border at 3.41pm EST (8.41pm GMT), she added.

But it did not appear to do any of those things.
That is the mystery.
I am not losing sleep over it. But I wish they would release some camera images. It’s the “not talking about it” that has become the story. The longer they wait, the more “conspiracy theories” will be generated. In a few days, people won’t believe anything they have to say.

A theory we could have investigated had the balloon been shot down over land. With the debris now in the turbulent Atlantic it may be far more problematic to do.
Whatever they say count on it to be self-serving.
I have found Chinese engineers to be extremely good. Given proper direction and encouragement they also can be extremely innovative.
We are fortunate that Chinese culture discourages innovation and promotes stasis. Otherwise, we would need to be copying all our advanced technology from China.
With infiltration of "wokeness" into the fields of science, engineering, and medicine, we could lose all our advantages.

Yes this whole series of events is likely just some attempt at A scare event so we all look at that and not the Biden scandal or Epstein’s flight logs which I heard got released yesterday.
You have hit on the most important point regarding the fact that it was cylindrical. As for the incident being fake, I have a lot of trouble believing anything from Biden and Trudeau, so it might very well be fake.
So...some object violates American airspace that is a possible threat to the country’s security and we’re not allowed to see what it is — even though China and Russia likely know.
The absurdity of this is truly mind boggling.
And one that had absolutely zero exposure in any way to the military…. I mean none.

They absolutely know and support it being open. This is an attempt to make you forget about it for a while. But, obviously, they failed with you.
Are we leading up to a “big event” in the neighborhood of the Super Bowl, where all the world will literally be watching? 🤔

So much of the worlds problems are culture.
No real details...but they sure like to talk about it in a roundabout way.
