Looking at the American political and cultural scene, let us contemplate what I call the “Quintessential Existential Interrogatories”:
(1) Where are we?
(2) How did we get here?
(3) Where are we going?
Many know a slight variant of these questions from Paul Gauguin’s famous painting of the same name: “Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?” (“D'ou Venons Nous / Que Sommes Nous / Où Allons Nous”), but these three questions crop up all over the place.
I would add a fourth question that is just as important: (4) Is there an alternative?
1. Where Are We?
We are in the age of the irrational hoax. Unlike the Piltdown Man hoax, which was clothed with an aura of credibility and, therefore, was a mere fraud, the hoaxes of Climate Change, Transgenderism, DEI, CRT, Covid Vax, White Supremacy, etc., are not just false; they are also irrational and absurd, utterly lacking any hint of credibility. Moreover, every one of these hoaxes will lead to the destruction of our middle class.
In “The Coup We Never Knew,” Victor Davis Hanson asks: “Did someone or something seize control of the United States?” He then offers the only answer possible: “We are beginning to wake up from a nightmare to a country we no longer recognize, and from a coup we never knew.”
This coup revealed itself plainly in the stolen 2020 election. Many thought that disaster was an outlier, a “one-off” that MAGA could shake off like a dog shaking off a spring shower, but the replication of that same unsavory fact pattern in the 2022 election dashed that hope. Can there be another fair national election? Some have doubts.

I think we who are for freedom know in our bones that the battle is just about to heat up and move into a crescendo.
Deep State has been around a log longer than that...
The vote (basically about changing church doctrine to treat homosexuality as a "not a sin") was in favor of splitting with the UMC. It was a close vote. The decision to withdraw from the UMC won by 2 votes out of about 230+/- people voting.
When it was all over, one liberal who has a lesbian daughter started screaming at us Bible believers...screaming that we were an abomination and were going to hell.
My point in telling this story is to illustrate that those who are aligned with the Marxists are deeply indoctrinated to believe they are in the right. They are angry. They will fight in the streets if they have to.
Civil war (I mean bloody war...in the streets) is coming. There's no way around it because roughly half our population has been brainwashed (and profoundly so).
What amazes me is that many on our side refuse to believe the truth. People from my church who I have spoken with don't see what is going on. They have their heads in the sand.
I emailed some friends suggesting that a two-thirds vote to withdraw means that one-third of the people in our church didn't accept the Bible's definition of sin. I know for a fact that the guy that started screaming has never read the Bible (I have known him since we were kids).
Bottom line: On one side we have passionate, screaming Marxists...and on the other side--our side--we have a bunch of people who don't want to stir the pot (the "go along to get along" crowd).
BTW, I am thinking about finding a new church where there is a passion for the Bible. I don't think there is one in my town, so I am at a loss.
America’s culture destruction has brought on the Wrath of
God.
Can there be another fair national election? Some have doubts.

Any that do not are fools with their heads in the sand.
Cultural destruction results from incessant pandering to the unequal riff raff
Last summer I started reading the Bible cover-to-cover. I had read parts over the years, but never the whole thing. I got sidetracked with whatnot, and your post reminded me I’ve got to pick that back up.
To be honest, I skimmed a lot of the “begats” and such.
This is fundamental to the plan.
Karl Marx identified the middle class, i.e. the bourgeoisie, as the great impediment to the fulfillment of his great dream (our nightmare), viz. worldwide communist dictatorship (upon which the Soviet Union, North Korea, and the Chinese Communist Party are modeled).
Marx proclaimed that the bourgeoisie must be destroyed, leaving only the proletariat (the working class) to exist--and that communism must be established worldwide--by violent means--in order for his dream of a workers' paradise to function.
Marx recognized the necessity of a ruling dictatorship or oligarchy to establish worldwide communism, but--and here his theories become completely harebrained--he predicted that once communism were established, government and the ruling class would MIRACULOUSLY disappear, leaving the proletariat to work eternally in merry bliss, nobody ever taking advantage of anyone else etc. etc. etc. (and if you fall for that idiocy you're definitely ripe for usefulidiothood and are probably already one!).
The middle class must be destroyed if the Marxist nightmare, i.e. worldwide communism, is to become reality.
The Left--including the Democrat Party, its propaganda machine the news media, the federal agencies which serve as a praetorian guard for the corrupt Washington political establishment, the corrupt political establishment itself, and the entire "woke" movement--are, knowingly or unwittingly, part of the movement to establish the nightmare of Karl Marx and/or George Orwell. They are either perpetrators or useful idiots.
“Did someone or something seize control of the United States?” “We are beginning to wake up from a nightmare to a country we no longer recognize, and from a coup we never knew.”
Yes, and some of us did know. When Obama was elected to the Presidency, I knew that a coup d'état had taken place in the USA and said so here on FR in those words.
And BTW, we have not awakened from a nightmare. The American People are awakening to a nightmare and the horrifying realization that it is reality.
George Orwell predicted this nightmare. So did Karl Marx.
Some of us awakened to it several years ago. Some are just awakening. Many are still asleep.
"This coup revealed itself plainly in the stolen 2020 election."
Yes, it became more obvious then, but it was recognizable before that.
They will also steal the elections they want in 2024, 2028, 2030,.... They have no desire to steal every election. Only the elections that will keep them in Power.
Some people knew a long time ago where we were headed.
Her books were removed from libraries by liberals.
There are still many good, honest, and patriotic people throughout America. The problem is that they are not concentrated enough to escape from the juggernaut of the federal and state governments that are steamrolling our rights and elections for the sake of this new Wokeism. We might see a shifting of people to places like Florida and Texas that seem to still have some control and resistance to the government. Crjeating a few strong, conservative states is probably the best solution in the short term. I am fortunate to live in Missouri, which has some very good people running things. Of course, we also hav we to deal with the urban areas of KC and St. Louis. If not for them, Missouri would be a mostly safe and sane haven from the chaos we have today.
Yes: The awakening of the American People to the nightmare and to the realization that it is reality.
There is still time. But time is not on the side of the wise, benevolent, and truthful.
The more time elapses, the less chance there is of saving the greatest nation in history from destruction and the American People--indeed the people of the world--from a nightmare more horrifying than anything even the visionary George Orwell could imagine.
Whether or not enough Americans will awaken to reality in time to save America remains to be seen.
About all we can do is pray for the awakening of the unawakened and do what we can to awaken them before the nightmare, in its full force, becomes reality.
The Complete Holy Bible - NIVUK Audio Bible (youtube, read by David Suchet)I use my Kindle, but an iPhone works just as well.
I have to agree with you. There were elements of a move to the left before that. but it really started picking up steam in the 60s.
“Make love, not war”, If it feels good, do it”.
One of my favorite lines in a movie is in “Field of Dreams”, where Ray Kinsella meets Terence Mann, and Mann exclaims “Oh my God, you’re from the 60s. Peace love dope, now GET THE HELL OUTA HERE!”
Cracks me up every time!
Deliberate murder of America and western civilization by our very own.
That is decadence.
We have been experiencing the Decadence of Western Civilization since it erupted into overtness as the counter-culture movement of the 1960's.
It existed before then, but few (including me recognized it for what it was.
Some of us recognized it in the 1960's, but most didn't. Many are still blind to what's going on.
Can decadence be reversed once it has afflicted a civilization? Who knows?
Donald Trump believed that it could be. So convinced was he that he risked everything--a considerable amount in his case--to snatch is beloved America from the brink of decadence. The viciousness of the attacks on him and his attempts to rescue America are a measure of the entrenchment of decadence in America and the extent to which his attackers have allowed themselves to be afflicted with the disease of decadence.
Can America be saved? Will the American People awaken to reality in time to save America--and themselves and their children? Only time will tell.
I’m gonna have to get a copy. She has quite a body of work, and they all look interesting!
She was a conservative author way ahead of her time.

I’m in Illinois, 90 miles from Chicago. We also have Springfield,St. Louis, and a democrat ruling party. I know what you mean…
Thanks - I bookmarked the linked link.
I loved Suchet’s Poirot series.
I will probably only use it once in a while - audiobooks usually move too slowly for me, and I like to stop and contemplate every now again. But thanks - it seems like a decent version.
