I suppose its air speed was consistent with the wind speed. In other words, it travelled at the same speed as the wind.

However, in an airplane airspeed is the speed at which the airplane travels through the environment. So, if you cover 80 ground miles while flying into a 20 MPH wind, and your airspeed is 100 MPH.

I have never seen, “airspeed,” explained in that manner.
As ass backward as can be. Are you a pilot that works backward?

ONLY if it takes you an HOUR to cover the 80 miles.

If you cover it in 1/2 hour your airspeed is... 150?
