A GOP Florida congresswoman ripped a profile of her by the Washington Post as error-filled and “incredibly racist,” and the paper was forced to issue a correction — for claiming the lawmaker was once a Democrat.
Freshman Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, who represents the state’s west coast, said the paper misrepresented basic facts about her life and falsely suggested she had leaned into her Hispanic heritage for political gain.
“Holy s— the Washington post just tried to claim my dad was never incarcerated, left out comments from my mom, said I was a registered Democrat, and did not report a convo they had with a former roommate, and interviewed ‘family’ I don’t talk to. This is comical,” she tweeted after the article was published Friday. Luna, the first Mexican-American to represent the Sunshine State in Congress, later told Fox News the outlet tried to “undercut my Hispanic heritage.”

The Post got after Luna because she’s an attractive conservative.
Don’t forget academic and pecuniary gain.
Exactly- and fight the way the oeft fights is what they do- and do well.
John, glad to hear she’s good. I’m not one who says we need to be better than these guys. If Trump taught us anything I think that it’s sooner or later you need to bring a knife to a knife fight. The other side lack any integrity and they’ll do anything at any time to win.
That said, the one exception I’d make is use of the “racist” card. This vile lie, played endless, over and over again, is acid on the soul of our nation. God willing we can eventually strike it from the national discourse. I don’t think we should use it
😂👍
Sometimes when others set the rules that you are both supposed to play by, you play if even if it is not something that you would normally do.
As usual I have no clue. 😂👍
She’s very impressive. They didn’t appreciate her questioning of Twitter execs.
There are Mexicans in Mexico with anglo names. Long time ago, my Spanish teacher talked about a town in Mexico where many people had "Johnson" as their surname. Just like latinos living in the USA, there were English immigrants that settled in Mexico.
It's just like I posted two days ago:
And on January 22:
I'm not defending the guy, but let's not forget that the Democrats are seeing Republicans with a 4-seat majority and one member still out recovering from injuries sustained after falling off of his roof.If they can take out Santos, that leaves them with a two-vote swing, and we have plenty of swing voters on our side who may be tempted to buck the party from time to time.
Besides, if they can take out Santos, they will likely ramp up their machine to target others until they can retake the majority.
It's just how the Democrats roll, and we will have to suck it up and tolerate our own bad seeds when things are this close and Democrats are ruthless at playing small ball.
And we don't need RINOs in the Senate interfering with maintaining our majority in the House. Somebody tell Romney that McConnell doesn't belong there anymore, either, but we gave up our leverage in that chamber.
And on January 19:
Democrats are busy trying to pick off Republicans in the House. We already have one Representative who fell off of a roof and is out with injuries, and a second (Santos) whom they are trying to scam Republicans into pressuring him to resign.
So now we have a newly high-placed (whip replacing Steny Hoyer) Democrat Representative [Katherine M. Clark's ANTIFA son was arrested in Boston] who is ripe for Republicans to try to force to resign (for her children), but do they have the backbone to try?

It's not unexpected that the Democrats and the LAAP-dog media are trying to whittle away the four-seat majority that Republicans have in the House.Yesterday, Florida Republican Congressman Greg Steube fell off of his roof and has "serious injuries." That's potentially one seat that opens up, however it is a safe Republican district. In the meantime, the seat would remain vacant until a special election can be held, and is non-voting while Steube is recovering.
If Santos is forced out, it is likely that Democrats can retake this seat in a special election. Republican Peter King held this seat for 20 years before he retired, but Democrats won the open seat and held it for 10 years before Santos won the seat 54-46. That would be a second lost vote for about three months.
"racist fagotry"
What a perfect phrase! Excellent! May it spread far and wide.
“husband is special forces”
So? What’s he going to do?
Biden, Kerry, Blumenthal, Warren, Fetterman, and a bunch of other lying scumbag democRATs deserve it first.
“Why the GOP never goes on offense and pursues some of this strategy, I do not know.”
Because some republicans “hold themselves to a higher degree than democrats”
To which I call BULL SHITE, there is a time to fight and that time is now!
I think what set her off most was being called a former democrat. That’d piss every republican off especially if not true. The other thing is we have to welcome Hispanics into the party and if we have to allow them to talk about where they came from and what they do now is no big deal. White people do it all the time except they talk about the little town they are from and how life was like. Same thing.

I’d like to know what the real story is, but rn it is not looking good.
Let me know how playing identity politics goes against Democrats.
Let me know how acting like an inner city black works for you in life.
Wow! must have struck a nerve, is that more of your “higher standard”?
