The family of Tyre Nichols has filed an urgent appeal to the United Nations, requesting action “regarding the torture and extrajudicial killing” of Nichols.
“Today, we filed an Urgent Appeal before the United Nations asking it to condemn the tragic killing of Tyre Nichols, to demand transparency from the police department, and to demand that Officer Preston Hemphill and all officers that participated in the incident are criminally charged,” attorneys for the family said in a statement.
“The video evidence shows that all who were involved in Tyre’s death committed reprehensible acts that require international condemnation,” they continued.
According to the United Nations, “Urgent appeals” are used to seek intervention to cease the violation of loss of life, life-threatening situations or “imminent or on-going damage of a grave nature.”
The goal is to ensure State authorities intervene or prevent a human rights violation as quickly as possible.

Wait a minute. Is this for real? They’re singling out the one white cop that happened to be there on the scene. And not mentioning the dozens of other black thugs that were beating the crap out of Tyre again and again.
1st they have the trauma of the loss of their son and who knows what kind of advice they are getting.
But why should anyone be surprised they think this stuff when our entire population is being taught that this is a racist KKK country something like it was maybe in 1840 in the deep South?

No it’s not. All you need is time. Eventually everything leaves the headlines. And then when nobody is looking, maybe while some other bad cop incident is happening elsewhere, just let them go. Just look up what happened with Philip Brailsford. He got fired, and charged, and the prosecutor half assed the case and showed a heavily edited version of the tape, so he got acquitted, and rehired, then filed for “accidental disability”, and is now retired and on pension.
There’s plenty of cases like this. The system protects their own.

The pattern here is that the city police force “investigates” any Sheriff’s department shootings. And the Sheriff’s department investigates any city PD shootings.

The people investigating and determining facts should, in NO circumstances, be part of law enforcement or ever have been part of law enforcement. Cops, like doctors almost never turn on their own.
Guilty until proved innocent, ANYONE working for the government; cop, politician, judge.
