Ukraine Losing the War Big Time
Armstrong Economics ^ | 9 Feb 2024 | Martin Armstrong

Posted on 02/09/2023 5:32:42 PM PST by delta7

I reported last week that my source from Ukraine, not Russia, was placing the Ukrainian military casualties at 150,000 with 35,000 unaccounted for – missing in action. Including the civilian deaths, over 250,000 people have died. Ukraine is losing the war.

With the UK claiming they will now train Ukrainian pilots and provide fighter jets, this is obviously putting the UK at risk and such pilots with a few weeks of training will only crash and burn.

Our targets coming into play for April and May are critical. We see major shifts in the financial markets coming even by June. The West has sacrificed the Ukrainian population in an effort to weaken Russia so they can run in and destroy Russia. Just as their plans for the Iraq War and Vietnam never worked out, this is only risking the security of the entire world for this Neocon nonsense where they always love war and hate every Russian – period! There is absolutely no reason for this war. It has been deliberately provided by the West

This time, our computer warns, perhaps like the Oracle of Delphi, who told the King of Lydia that if he waged war against Persia, he would destroy a great empire. He presumed that meant Persia and not his own. Socrates confirms the West will lose this one. This is totally unnecessary and pointless. We stand absolutely NOTHING to gain from this war – only losses. The Neocons always want war and they NEVER think what if they lose?

Some believe that supplying these arms is merely pretending to support Ukraine for they know that this will not prevent their loss. The West will be in a position to then wage war against Russia directly and they are hoping for Putin to attack outside of Ukraine to be the excuse. They will use Ukraine as a play for revenge against evil Russia. They have pumped out nothing but bullshit propaganda knowing that Ukraine stood ZERO chance of defeating Russia.

The West will then count the dead civilians and proclaim that they are just going in to wage war against evil Russia lying to the people with every breath they take. So get prepared, for as we cross into 2024, we will be approaching 51.6 years since the end of the military draft in the United States.

The draft law was due to expire at the end of June 1971. But Nixon decided it needed to continue and asked Congress to approve a two-year extension. In March 1973, 1974, and 1975, the Selective Service assigned draft priority numbers for all men born in 1954, 1955, and 1956. However, the draft was never extended. It will probably be reinstated in 2024/2025.

The resources being spent on Ukraine are not the sort that are relevant in re China. This is a critical point.

A case for that assertion of dwindling resources should specify which resources.

The Germans have already publicly repented of giving Russia the possibility of blackmail based on the nat gas pipelines. Mea culpas have been said.

The US has been against that since the Kennedy administration BTW. Both Reagan and Trump repeatedly warned the Germans.

I keep driving that point, with no response from you.

The unicorns are coming to save Ukraine….fact is Ukraine has been de-populated, all accounts show there are only 18-20 million Ukies left inhabiting Ukraine….pre war was 38 million. Bodes not well for the Ukies, deenergized, deindustrialized, …..having the lowest reproduction rate in all the EU, and their 18-60 year old male population decimated and scattered all over the EU, it will be decades for any type of recovery.

It is becoming more obvious every day:

Ukraine 1991-2023

You’re not really deserving of a response, and haven’t been “driving any points” with no “response from me”, but Europe was buying natural resources from Russia at good prices via long term contracts. There was no “blackmail”.

Americans are doing the blackmailing and Europe is suffering.

Russia did not sanction themselves and they did not destroy the pipelines.

You are nothing more than a zombie trapped in some sort of weird dogma. The things you think do not withstand scrutiny.

If you wanted a fight with Russia you’ve got one. Good luck.

But yet he is known internationally as a legendary forecaster, called upon by many SOVEREIGN nations for advice, since 1995.

I have benefited immensely since 2000 following his forecasts, sorry to hear you never followed his forecasts.

It seems to have fallen into a stalemate sort of like WWI on the Western Front.

The stalemate is like the one between and hammer and a nail. The only place the US backed former state of Ukraine is not the nail is in western fake news media.

The facts are important. The dependence on Russian gas was a very long term US gripe vs Germany.

Stingers are of little use in an air-naval war in the Pacific. And stingers are obsolete anyway. The US is ordering the Polish Piorun.

“The facts are important.”

Facts are important. Europe had a reliable source of cheap energy and now they don’t. Not only have Europeans grabbed a bear by the tail but now they’re relying on the country that destroyed their pipelines for more expensive LNG. The rest of the things they no longer have they’ll have to come up with on their own.

Lip service, fake news, and wacky theories are not important at all and that’s all you offer.

“ As Ukraine burns through anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles the US has been supplying, Raytheon’s CEO warned on Tuesday that the company won’t be able to replenish the Pentagon stockpiles for at least several years, citing a shortage of electronic components.

“We’re going to have to go out and redesign some of the electronics in the missile and the seeker head,” Raytheon Technologies CEO Greg Hayes told investment analysts during the company’s quarterly earnings call, according to Defense One. “That’s going to take us a little bit of time.”

Hayes was specifically referring to the FIM-92 Stinger, the portable air defense missile that the Pentagon has been supplying to Ukrainian troops. The FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missile, which the US has also been sending to Kiev, is produced jointly with Lockheed Martin. Ukrainian officials told the US last month that they required 500 Stingers and Javelins per day.

Raytheon hasn’t made Stingers for the US military in almost 20 years, and the ones being sent to Ukraine are coming out of the Pentagon stockpiles. Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks has said Raytheon had “a very limited stock of material for Stinger production” and that the Pentagon was “actively trying to resource some of the materials,” again according to Defense One.…”

The last sentence is hilarious as brain dead Joes sanctions caused Vlad to reverse sanction the U.S., 98 percent of our titanium and other exotic metals were sourced from Russia!

Russia has everything they need, and everything our defense industry needs.

….and Vlad says Checkmate, again.

Do realize I am very, very, let me say very familiar with our aviation industry, we are currently experiencing shortages ( especially in our powerplant sector) never seen before….From common firewall plate to titanium sheet, forgings, to rare earths used in all our avionics guidance systems.….Boeing’s in a panic getting no help from the world’s second largest supplier South Africa, who by the way has not sanctioned Russia….

A reliable source of energy, which is difficult and expensive to move away from, locking in dependence on a sole source. And reliable unless one had a disagreement with the government of Russia.
In other words, a protection racket.

That’s the problem.

Of course, Russian apologists, much like the mafia, will assert that compliance with Russian policy is painless.

In the US, traditionally, Public Utilities Commissions used to look unkindly on such sole source arrangements. Way back when the state was rational the CA PUC required utilities ensured three independent sources of gas, over three pipeline systems, before they would clear nat gas as a primary fuel for the electrical grid.
