“Let’s all stay active in this and understand ... this is the planet we’ve got. It is a precious place. It is — it is a place that we have a responsibility for taking care of, and that there is a whole lot of work that can be done,” Harris said. “But the clock is not just ticking, it’s like banging. It is requiring us to move quickly. But there is so much to be excited about in terms of what we can do.”
“When we look at extreme climate, we see that we are experiencing drought around the world,” Harris said. “If people don’t have water where they live, they will leave where they live. If they cannot grow food where they live, they will leave where they live, and they will go to other places.”
That migration, forced by climate change, may lead to conflict, she said.
“And if we think about this in the global perspective, and they will invariably go to places that speak a different language and pray to a different god. And what do you think might happen then? You’re probably looking at the beginning of conflict,” Harris said.

Frogging leapers.
There is a HUGE generational divide. Older, wiser people know a scam when they see it. Young people are naive and easily taken in.
I’ve talked to a number of under-30s and most of them fervently believe in climate change and that it will cause the end of the earth. On one hand it is astonishing people fall for it but on the other hand it not surprising.
They all seem to think “green” energy will fix it.
They don’t understand how impoverished they will be with ultra-high energy prices for energy that is very unreliable and available intermittently. They also don’t understand that India, China, and Latin America don’t buy into this crap and will have cheap energy which gives them huge advantages in everything. US businesses will simply not be competitive against those countries with extremely expensive, unreliable energy.
They also don’t realize what this means for our ability to defend ourselves. It means the USA will be ripe for the pickings by China.
I hope these young people all get proficient in Mandarin. They are going to need it.
Of course ‘leapfrogging’ starts and ends on her knees.
Climate change is real, but it is natural, not human caused.

That was taken out of the school systems years ago. Just do what is trendy or fashionable or the teacher tells you.
