Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist Seymour Hersh has made the sensational claim that the United States was behind the bombing of the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline in September last year.
Writing in his blog on Substack on Wednesday, Hersh said US Navy divers planted explosives at the pipelines in June last year, under the guise of BALTOPS 22 NATO exercise. The article says that the bombing of the Nord Stream pipeline was the culmination of months-long planning and preparations by the US. President Joe Biden and all his top leadership team participated in a series of top secret discussions in the lead-up to the act.
"Last June, the Navy divers, operating under the cover of a widely publicized mid-summer NATO exercise known as BALTOPS 22, planted the remotely triggered explosives that, three months later, destroyed three of the four Nord Stream pipelines, according to a source with direct knowledge of the operational planning," Hersh wrote in his blog.

It seems to me the only people hurt by this were the Germans and other EU countries, who (unless the pipeline is repaired) have no option now of going back to cheaper gas. It will make their heavy industries less competitive in world markets and raise all energy costs.
If it was intended to provoke Russia, it wasn’t successful. But it certainly will affect our relations with Europe, for a long time. And bragging about it now will just piss the neighbors off.

Then again, 51 American 'intelligence' thugs are publishing a letter saying if we don't get out of Ukraine soon, Putin said he would start blowing up buildings in Moscow.
Germans are, at their heart, true conformists. Its not a bad thing, usually. Like Japanese, its why their streets are (mostly) clean and they run an efficient economy.

The CIA was behind this pipeline destruction and now will pin this on BiteMe as he is no longer one of their useful idiots—if true. I suspect it is probably true because the pipelines destruction hurt Russia, Germany and Europe but not the US but it allowed the US to push it was Russia and keep the war going.
This is a filthy dirty war for all involved.
After seeing what the US government has done to censor the internet and shut down speech from the FBI to DHS to even the State Department as noted by Elon Musk this week why should I trust any denials of Hersh’s claim coming out of Washington.

Some of Hersh's speeches concerning the Iraq War have described violent incidents involving U.S. troops in Iraq. In July 2004, during the height of the Abu Ghraib scandal, he alleged that American troops sexually assaulted young boys:

As I have said before, the only interesting question about Europe is where the border between Germany and Russia lies. Stalingrad was too far East. Torgau is too far West.
The Poles - whom Winston Churchill called both “gallant” and “wretched” - already dragged the world into war over this question in 1939. Britain then, like “NATO” now, issued a guarantee that they have no possibility of fulfilling.
As Ukraine is learning right now, Poland should have learned in 1939-1945 - don’t place the lives of your people in the hands of “the West”.
