It was by far the best rebuttal I’ve ever seen. The purpose of a rebuttal is not just to refute the claims of the other party. It’s also to make a clear distinction of what each stands for. She did an excellent job of that, by just talking about what really matters to her.

So I agree with the substance of your opinion, I too want a fighter. I want somebody who's going to attack Biden and all the rest of them and leave blood on the floor. I want more data, especially data. Because it is data that convinces me. But she offered little data and very little blood and gore.

After her speech I switched to MSNBC from Fox and I watched Rachel Maddow and a couple of other feminists there when it all fell into place for me. Sarah Huckabee Sanders' speech was not aimed at me as a male it was aimed at all of those females whom Trump antagonized in 2016 and who cost us the elections of 2018, 2020 and 2022.

These women (I know Rachel lays dubious claim to the term) could not have been more dismissive and derisive of Gov. Sanders but these women could not have looked more defensive themselves because they sensed the threat.

The strategy is brilliant, the execution was even more brilliant. Trump will hold onto the male vote, that is a given but the real battle ground is for the white suburban females who have cost us the last three elections. Good on you, Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders!

AGREE-women are Trump’s weakest demographic and of course he hurts himself everytime he attacks DeSantis or other conservative with charges, his latest from 20 years agos “ Trump posted images of a young Ron DeSantis allegedly partying with high school teens and adding his own mocking commentary. “

‘That’s not Ron, is it? He would never do such a thing!’ Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

As somone who campaigned with and for Trump and donated $s, this is sad to see, just devastates Trumps chances at winning in the general, last time his numbers were close enough due to women hating him that it allowed them to cheat. This time it won’t be that close if he keeps this up

I have to disagree with everyone here except you. I thought her speech was a dud. She went on and on about her and her mother’s cancer diagnosis. A long pointless description of going with “the President” to Iraq to meet U.S. soldiers there (she didn’t name “the President).” Promoting herself—the youngest governor, she’s going to institute the most sweeping educational reform in the nation.

What was she doing? Angling to be the vice-president on someone’s ticket? How about the Justice Department being weaponized to go after a pro-life father with FBI agents with guns drawn arresting him in front of his children? Or the forgotten protestors from Jan. 6 rotting in jail for years with no trial?

I’d really like someone on the Republican side to tear into Biden as the overseer of a jack-booted police state. Instead, we got Sanders promoting herself. I was vastly disappointed. I watched the entire Biden speech and was screaming oaths at the television through most of it. Sanders came on so late I imagine most people went to bed.

Another lost opportunity.

What's up with this? I haven't watched a SOTU show for years. I'd rather scan the speech in two minutes than sit and watch for an hour. So I skipped this one. But OANN and a fee? Did the networks not show the rebuttal?

I totally agree. I was SO disappointed with her rambling thoughts and points that I almost threw a pillow at the TV. I'm now retired in Florida after being a 24-year-elected-official in Illinois, and I've been around the block...and Sarah muffed her golden opportunity bigly....much to my chagrin.

That’s what we were expecting but it never happened. Her speech was good in many ways, but it didn’t address the 90-minute load of crap PINO Joe spewed. It was not a rebuttal in any way.
