But that wouldn’t be ‘integration’, would it, since she is a colored woman—I mean woman of color.
It’s kind of like ‘diversity’ really means not white. The NBA is ‘diverse’. NBA coaches aren’t ‘diverse’ enough. NFL being 2/3rds black isn’t ‘diverse’ enough either.
Whites moving into formerly black neighborhoods don’t increase the neighborhoods’ diversity, rather it is the racist evil of gentrification.
But it will be interesting how she proposes to ‘force integration’.
The problem with this, as all the stories about BiPOC clubs, dorms, cafeterias, etc show is that many blacks find it intolerable to be living among white people and being assessed by metrics that have always made sense to white people.
Please. My neighborhood's already integrated. Two Black families on my street, as well as one that's at least part Latino.
