You got it. By 1861 the slave states were already heading to economic backwater status. The idea that slaves built this country is ridiculous when slavery was actually a drag on the economy.

I watched it. It was hateful and disgusting. They totally denigrated Lincoln and the Civil War victory with the nobody liberated them, they’ll liberate themselves part. I’ve said it before that they hate the fact they were liberated by white people. Destroying the Confederate war memorials is the first step in erasing the Civil War.
