How is it possible for one man to be this much of a train wreck? A short-term employee who Santos hired just two weeks ago claims that Santos sexually harassed him in the office and invited him home. Derek Myers announced on Twitter yesterday that he had filed a report about the incident with the Capitol Hill Police. He included a copy of the police report.
As stated in the filings, my complaint pertains to violations of House Ethics in which I was an unpaid volunteer performing staff duties with the promise of employment and compensation, only to be released after several days of work without compensation.

Myers, 30, contends that Santos hired him as an assistant on Jan. 23 and that two days later, they were in the rep’s Washington, DC, office going over the mail.
He claims that Santos wanted them to sit together on a small sofa, then put his hand on his knee and said, “Hey buddy, we’re going to karaoke tonight. Would you like to go?’”, according to a copy of the complaint tweeted by Myers.
“I kindly declined the invitation by telling the Congressman I was not a fan of clubs and bars and that I was not a good singer. The Congressman proceeded to take his hand and move it down my leg into my inner thigh and proceeded to touch my groin,” the complaint said.
Santos, 34, told him, “My husband is out of town tonight if you want to come over,” according to the complaint.
If you’ve been following this story at all, Santos was married to a woman at one point but recently said he’d married a man. But last month the NY Post pointed out even that story may not be completely true. If he does have a husband, his husband apparently does not want to be seen with him.

The 34-year-old Santos — who was spotted by The Post moving belongings and a pair of dogs into his sister’s Elmhurst apartment last week — claims to be married to a man but has not been seen with his supposed husband since the scandal over his background broke last month.
So who knows what’s true. Whatever his personal life is like now, you’d think with the eyes to media on him at all times he’d maybe be a little more careful how he behaves. But obviously that’s not the case is he’s putting his hands on the new guy in the office.
Derek Myers was previously an editor for a small newspaper in Ohio. Last October he was charged with a felony after his paper published an audio recording of some witness testimony which he claims was given to him by a source. The judge had ruled that a particular witnesses would not be recorded by video or audio and the publication of the audio violated that promise.
The Pike County Sheriff’s Office subsequently charged Myers with interception of wire, electronic or oral communications, a fourth degree felony. According to court records, he was charged under Ohio Revised Code Section 2933.52 (A)(3), which forbids the use of a recording that one knows or has reason to believe was illegally obtained.
Myers turned himself into custody on Nov. 1 and was released after paying a $20,000 bond. He told the Tracker that he pleaded not guilty at a hearing the following day.
All of this is relevant because George Santos apparently learned about it a week after Myers joined the office as a temp. He then told Myers that he couldn’t hire him full time because he was afraid Myers might record him and get him in trouble. And as it turns out, Myers was recording that conversation and released it to Talking Points Memo.
During the conversation, Santos cited Myers’ recent legal troubles that stemmed from his work as a reporter. For Santos, this was potentially a reason to remove him from the team. Myers was stunned by the hypocrisy. Santos fabricated much of his biography en route to getting elected last year and is currently facing multiple investigations related to his finances.
“I’m thinking to myself, I’m a threat and concern to this institution — George Santos, you’re George Santos!” Myers told TPM…
On the audio file received by TPM, both Lovett and Santos joke about Myers potentially recording the conversation without their knowledge.
“From my understanding, recording in this building is a federal crime, and you get seven years,” Santos told Myers on the tape. “Have fun at your peril!”
There’s a 25-minute audio clip at TPM if you want to listen to the meeting with Santos. It’s a bit odd to me that Myers gave TPM the audio and the story behind it but not they story about the sexual harassment which seems more significant.
I don’t see how Santos can withstand another scandal at this point. Either he’s going to call Myers a liar or he’s probably going to face a lot more pressure to resign.
I swear it’s just never ending drama with some of these homosexuals.

I think the guy is a Dem plant. Every couple of days the MSM a drops another “scandal” that Santos is involved in. GOP bad, GOP cheats, message delivered.

A woman gave specifics about old Joe Biden, and Lindsey Graham and Susan Collins ran out to microphones to say their Joe would never do that.
Don’t participate in the Double Standard. Why would they change a thing if one side has ethical lines - and the other makes up lies daily and wrecks bikes at the sight of a five year old in a bathing suit.
There are pictures of Joe hugging up on the family sex toy both of his kids used thoroughly. Hugging, sniffing the hair and hands around her constantly.
If they can take out Santos, that leaves them with a two-vote swing, and we have plenty of swing voters on our side who may be tempted to buck the party from time to time.
Besides, if they can take out Santos, they will likely ramp up their machine to target others until they can retake the majority.
It's just how the Democrats roll, and we will have to suck it up and tolerate our own bad seeds when things are this close and Democrats are ruthless at playing the small ball.
