Perun analysis of Aid to Ukraine, 1 hour + video-

"Aid to Ukraine has evolved dramatically since February 2022, and there are few topics that have attracted more constant press coverage away from the battlefield itself. So today I try and set out how aid has evolved, who the major contributors are, and the impact aid has had - and may have in 2023."

The weapons, ammo and equipment required to support Ukraine have very little overlap with that required to fight a war with China.

You are very generous with my tax dollars and the population of this former Soviet state.

Its a lot less about tax dollars, but stuff we have already paid for. Btw, I am a tax payer too.

And that stuff in the main was made, long ago, to deal with this situation, not some hypothetical.

If you are truly concerned about your tax dollars then there is a vast range of madness to deal with that is several orders of magnitude greater than aid to Ukraine.

Edit - Perun is Australian, not British, and he seems to be based in Australia.

I got his background confused with Suchomimus, another Youtuber.

So, get into specifics. What is it thats going to Ukraine thats needed in the Pacific or China Sea?

Is the US going to line up battalions of artillery on carrier decks?

Does the US intend to land on mainland China and take Shanghai? No?

We nor NATO have the ability to come close to resupply Ukraine with even 1/10th the firepower the Russians have. We don't have the manufacturing capability and Russia does.

Depends, Both the Ukrainians and the Russians are spending several times their current production of shells and other munitions. Ukraine is getting resupply from NATO and other countries, who will be several years rebuilding their stockpiles. Russia is consuming their stockpiles that may date all the way back to the end of the second world war.

Shell shortages are not a new phenomenon in war, in 1915 all participants in WWI had fewer shells than they wanted. Once the pre-war stockpiles are consumed both sides will be limited to production rates for shells, and the production rates will be a moving target.

"As Russia Encircles Bakhmut Zelensky No Surrender"

Yeah, apparently the Ukrainians did not withdraw from Backhmut as reported. I guess Zelensky thinks he will gain sympathy once his troops are all annihilated.

The Russians have far greater manufacturing capacity than we do or NATO countries do as a whole.

This ridiculous claim Russia is running out of ammo and weapons has been made since last March and its been consistently wrong.
