PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Democratic Party on Saturday approved reordering its 2024 presidential primary, replacing Iowa with South Carolina in the leadoff spot as part of a major shake-up meant to empower Black and other minority voters critical to its base of support.
Although more changes are possible later this year, the formal endorsement by the Democratic National Committee during its meeting in Philadelphia is an acknowledgement that the start of the 2024 primary will look very different from the one in 2020. Hundreds of party stalwarts climbed to their feet and cheered after the easy passage by voice vote.
States with early contests play a major role in determining the nominee because White House hopefuls struggling to raise money or gain political traction often drop out before visiting states outside the first five. Media attention and policy debates concentrate in those areas, too.

South Carolina is 37% non-white.
That means at least 70% of white SC voters need to vote Republican in presidential elections to keep SC in the GOP column.
The Democrats will totally focus on turning out poor white women and Black voters.

Easier for DNC approved candidate to win the primaries. With the traditional calendar, somebody like Bernie Sanders have a shot and DNC is not going to want that.

As long as they are approved candidates by DNC, Obama will endorse them so Blacks will vote for the DNC candidate in the South Carolina Primary.
The Democrats should just ban white voters in their primaries—and require a DNA test to prove that voters do not have one drop of white blood!

South Carolina is 27% Black.
The black population in South Carolina is 26 percent of the State, not 37 percent which probably would put it into play for the Dems as opposed to Georgia which is 31 percent black.
African-American voters comprise up to 60% of South Carolina’s Democratic electorate.
