I agree but Gen. Milley has advised Biden not to do it for fear of wreckage hitting a populated area.

The balloon was seen over Montana earlier Thursday, the official said.
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that there was a ground stop in Billings, Montana, on Wednesday but an agency spokesperson did not share more details.
Earlier Thursday, a senior U.S. official described the balloon to ABC News as the size of three buses, with a technology bay.

Where’s a Sharpshooter when the country needs one?
To: rdl6989
If its in US airspace, shoot it down. Depending on what it is, could be a causus belli.

Cheaper and easier to launch than a satellite.

All it takes is one drone with a pin on its nose.

Balloon Boy would know what to do
To: rdl6989
Wonder if something could be done to obscure its view of the ground. Launch our own drone underneath it to spew smoke or something...

I agree but Gen. Milley has advised Biden not to do it for fear of wreckage hitting a populated area. That's a ridiculous reason for not shooting it down. What are the chances it would hit anything in Montana? And even if it did, how much damage could a falling balloon cause? It's just an excuse for not doing anything against the democrats' (and especially the Biden family's) most important friend.

Reports are that this isn’t the first one, just the first one that was reported on.
