Decolonizing Russia
CSCE ^ | June 23rd, 2022 | CSCE

Posted on 02/02/2023 2:01:38 PM PST by Mariner

Russia’s barbaric war on Ukraine—and before that on Syria, Libya, Georgia, and Chechnya—has exposed the Russian Federation’s viciously imperial character to the entire world. Its aggression also is catalyzing a long-overdue conversation about Russia’s interior empire, given Moscow’s dominion over many indigenous non-Russian nations, and the brutal extent to which the Kremlin has taken to suppress their national self-expression and self-determination.

Serious and controversial discussions are now underway about reckoning with Russia’s fundamental imperialism and the need to “decolonize” Russia for it to become a viable stakeholder in European security and stability. As the successor to the Soviet Union, which cloaked its colonial agenda in anti-imperial and anti-capitalist nomenclature, Russia has yet to attract appropriate scrutiny for its consistent and oftentimes brutal imperial tendencies.

So you still believe that millions of Germans are going to freeze to death this winter?

Scott Adams claims that 1/3 of the human race doesn't have a sense of humor.

Looks like you outed yourself as one of those people.

Put that hope in one hand, and shit in the other.

“Well, Russia is the last extant colonial power, deep into the anti-colonial age. “

Such a lack of historical knowledge would be hilarious if it were not a danger to the rest of us.

“The CSCE is actually a treaty organization THAT RUSSIA IS A MEMBER OF.”

That would be a lie.

“Umm, you realize that Russia is a member of the CSCE, right? “

You’re still lying.

I believe he was referring to the time before the war when the graft was flowing through Ukraine like golden water

We can do our part. Give Hawaii and it’s 2 senators to Polynesia. Restore the monarchy. Give Puerto Rico back to Spain. Last, call for an independent Quebec. Don’t forget Northern Ireland. Get rid of the Brits.

Would it or would it not be a slippery slope to world-wide movements of the independence variety? An independent Kurdistan would keep the fighting going on between the Moozlems.

Not only did they collect millions, they granted billions in foreign aid as the source of their income. They didn’t make a single cent, they gifted it from the great American deep pocket and pulled out a generous chunk for themselves.

Once our government was able to spend deficits they decoupled government spending from taxpayers. Thus they didn’t use proverbial taxpayer dollars, which they would never have been able to do because taxpayers would never have allowed it, they spent their own private stash of money they didn’t have to ask for. It’s just like giving a kid a credit card, but the kid beats you to the mailbox when the bill arrives. Once you find out how much the kid is spending you will freak out. One day the collection agency is going to call.

There’s 1 thing that’s missing from your equation and that is human nature: humans don’t like to be pushed around they want to be with like people

That’s what I’m sayin’. eg: too late for American Indians. Too many different tribes.
Some folks are better off dealing with certain ‘dominators’. Think American Samoa and P.R. Samoa should be a part of the other Samoa + Tonga. France keeps Tahiti but surrenders the Marquesas. Fishing rights would make Polynesia rich.

The relatively less aggressive, nicer imperial power, critiquing the blatantly brutal, nasty imperial power. Not quite projection, just lacking in self-awareness.

He keeps saying it because it's true. All the "color" revolutions were State and CIAs PAG projects. Belarus woke up and put an end to it and the Ukes are getting to understand how the west "protects" its allies.......
