What's the celebration all about in Minnesota? Did the Vikings win? Twins add a shortstop? The Wild on the road to the Stanley Cup? The answer is not about sports or a drop in crime rates in Minneapolis. The answer is a celebration about abortion, or "reproductive rights" as they call it these days.
After Roe was overturned, we knew that states would decide the issue on their own. And so they did. Elections have consequences as we see in a 34-33 party-line vote. And in Minnesota they had a huge celebration to go with it. Not one Democrat had the guts to stand up and look at the abortion fanatics and say: This is too much. You can't go this far.
It's pathetic and so weak that it makes you wonder how these people sleep at night. I guess they sleep by calling it protecting reproductive health.
This is the story:
Gov. Tim Walz enshrined the right to abortion and other reproductive health care into Minnesota statutes Tuesday, signing a bill meant to ensure that the state's existing protections remain in place no matter who sits on future courts.
Democratic leaders took advantage of their new control of both houses of the Legislature to rush the bill through in the first month of the 2023 legislative session. They credit the backlash against the U.S. Supreme Court decision last summer to reverse Roe v. Wade for their takeover of the state Senate and for keeping their House majority in a year when Republicans expected to make gains.
“After last year's landmark election across this country, we're the first state to take legislative action to put these protections in place,” Walz said at a signing ceremony flanked by over 100 lawmakers, providers and other advocates who worked to pass the bill.

Until another legislature overturns it.
Basically the country is going to have states with zero abortion allowance to abortion until birth. I wonder if we will still see a decline of abortions overall. The 15 week ban that roe provided still contributed to many abortions. We’ll have to see how this works out.
Men need this bill so they can enjoy unprotected sex without need for romance, commitment or financial responsibility.
The right to life was enshrined too and that stopped nothing. Everything is reversible but God and his judgement.

When I was younger, I used to think that Minnesotans were generally conservative, because the folks I had met from there struck me as conservative types.
When I became an adult and started voting, I realized how wrong I was about that impression.
“Vengeance is Mine”, saith the Lord...
Isn't deciding to keep a child a choice?
And then they get PO'ed when we call them murderers.
Of course, “soulles “ = soulless.
If you have your baby murdered you’d probably be a lousy parent.
They can’t handle the truth!
So, regarding late-term infants whose moms decide to abort them: We know what will happen to the little corpses, right? They’ll be PARTED OUT for SALE. Show me the money, yes?
What is to stop someone who is financially well-off from finding out whose scheduled to whack her infant after the 20th week of pregnancy and offering her money to deliver the kid in a clinic setting instead of aborting it? And then the kid can be adopted by someone else....?
Someone brought this up some months ago on this forum. People always cite financial reasons for obtaining an abortion, though that’s seldom really the case. So, if you finance their delivering the kid alive they might see the wisdom of that and instead of going to Planned Parenthood, they go to another place, deliver the kid safely and alive, and get financial reimbursement...?
Haha, they would probably call that “slavery,” huh? (Then maybe they would change the law.)
Many late-term abortions are due to the parents finding out that the infant they initially wanted has a birth defect - even so, a lot of other parents would not mind taking care of a kid with, say, Down syndrome.
Right on.
“Democratic leaders took advantage of their new control of both houses of the Legislature to rush the bill through in the first month of the 2023 legislative session.”
It shows what immoral scumbags most Democratic legislators are.
Minnesota and other liberal states are places where evil dominates. The good people who are stuck there have to suffer for it too.
Probably will cut down on. It some, but not significantly I’d think- too many liberals are willing to go to any lengths to have their “fun” and abort whatever/whoever results from it.
What the H happened to Minnesota-—and for that matter-—TOO MANY other states???
Yes, that's all that the ruling overturning Roe v. Wade did. It simply said, abortion is not a right found in the Constitution. Its up to the States to decide.
Now God's judgement is really upon this country, and every state government. No one can hide any longer.
