Hunter Biden seeks federal probe of Trump allies over laptop

WASHINGTON -- A lawyer for President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, asked the Justice Department in a letter Wednesday to investigate close allies of former President Donald Trump and others who accessed and disseminated personal data from a laptop that a computer repair shop owner says was dropped off at his Delaware store in 2019.

**SNIP**

The letter cites passages from Mac Isaac's book in which he admitted reviewing private and sensitive material from Biden's laptop, including a file titled “income.pdf.” It notes that Mac Isaac sent a copy of the laptop data to Giuliani's lawyer, Robert Costello, who in turn shared it with Giuliani, a close ally of Trump's who at the time was pushing discredited theories about the younger Biden.

Giuliani provided the information to a reporter at the New York Post, which first wrote about the laptop, and also to Bannon, according to the letter. Hunter Biden never consented to any of his personal information being accessed or shared in that manner, his lawyer says.

“This failed dirty political trick directly resulted in the exposure, exploitation, and manipulation of Mr. Biden’s private and personal information,” the letter says, adding, “Politicians and the news media have used this unlawfully accessed, copied, distributed, and manipulated data to distort the truth and cause harm to Mr. Biden.”

Mac Isaac declined to comment when reached by The Associated Press on Wednesday evening. Costello, asked to comment on behalf of him and Giuliani, called the letter “a frivolous legal document” and said it “reeks of desperation because they know judgment day is coming for the Bidens."

The letter to the Justice Department was addressed to its top national security official, Matthew Olsen.

Another Freeper astutely pointed out that this is all about giving Democrats and their allies legal cover to avoid talking about the story in Congressional hearings.

1. That's why this letter was addressed to an FBI national security guy.

2. That's why this "urgent matter of national security" was never a problem at any time since the laptop was left at the computer repair shop in 2019 ... until the GOP House seated their oversight committee to look into entrenched corruption like this.

The crackhead left his laptop at the shop to be fixed.

Hunter Biden relinquished ownership of the data and the laptop to the owner of the computer repair shop when he failed to pick up the laptop and pay for services.

I was not hacked information and it was not Hunter Biden’s property.

If you or I abandoned a laptop would the FBI TOP BRASS get involved?

Same with the DIARY. Since when do the FBI get involved with searching for someone’s private ‘stolen’ (it wasn’t) diary?

“Once he abandoned the laptop it became the property of the shop owner”

And THAT should be rhe end of the story.

This is typical behavior for a liberal; blaming others for your own carelessness and stupidity.

Most repair places have it written on the drop off receipt that the equipment has to be picked up in a certain amount of time or ownership is forfeited.

The shop owner gave the data to the FBI, they did absolutely nothing with it.

They all know what Hunter did but are bound to run cover for him. Which is impossible.

The shop owner was never paid by Hunter. Period.

But we shouldn't be surprised if some Rat Party judicial appointee would rule that some Federal law prohibits...well,you know the tune. In fact,we shouldn't be surprised if more than one such judge makes such a ruling.

Recently reporters have been connecting classified info to Hunter’s business deals. I suspect this is what they’re worried about. Seems desperate enough.

On the ‘dumb-as-dirt’ ratio (1-to-10)....I have to give Hunter a complete ‘10’.

He had no idea of the data on his laptop or its value. He’s left breadcrumbs to potentially a hundred different charges for various people.

I thought Hunter initially denied it was his laptop - intelligence agents claimed it was a ploy by Russia to discredit the Bidens. He’s now confirming it is his.

Another Freeper astutely pointed out that this is all about giving Democrats and their allies legal cover to avoid talking about the story in Congressional hearings.

An oldie but goodie tactic from the days of Bildo Klintoon when the butcher of Waco, attorney general Janet "Johnny" Reno would swoop into the latest controversy to make it an in-house investigation AKA DOJ black hole from which nothing could escape lest it compromise the "ongoing investigation" which would be ongoing as long as necessary to stonewall Congress. Once interest waned, it was just a matter of time until a late Friday afternoon document dump when no one was around to report its non-conclusion.

The letter to the Justice Department was addressed to its top national security official, Matthew Olsen. It cites possible violations of statutes prohibiting the unauthorized access of a computer or stored electronic communication, as well as the transport of stolen data across state lines and the publication of restricted personal data with the intent to intimidate or threaten.

The deep state should have an avatar titled "National Security" with the Bidens' picture. Use it for fundraising.

The solution to the Hunter problem is cocaine.

Give him lots of cocaine. In one of the lines, provide a little fentanyl
