Democrat Senator Mark Mullet who sponsored the new bill stated “I learned from the ease of having vaccine information on your cell phone why it would make sense to also offer this option for folks when it comes to their driver’s license.”

I prefer the card in my wallet to being forced to carry my phone to have the driver's license. There are times when I take my DR650 out on rough territory that would destroy the cameras in my cell phone. A card is my wallet is fine. The DR is a dual sport. I'm street legal to ride to the dirt, so I need the license to get there.
