LONDON, Jan 26 (Reuters) - A new song by a well-known Russian comic that satirizes Moscow's war in Ukraine and its supporters has been referred to prosecutors by a patriotic organization which believes it discredits the army, now a criminal offense.

The song, by Semyon Slepakov, is called "Lullaby" and likens Russia, with dark irony, to a mother who glorifies the idea of dying on the battlefields of Ukraine and believes it is her sons' duty to lay down their lives for her own greatness.

'LATTE AND CHEESECAKE' In the song, which includes the line "there's nothing better than death in battle", the mother figure representing Russia tells her three-year old son she regrets he is too young to fight, calls her middle son a traitor for becoming an IT worker in Europe, and lionises her eldest son for dying in Ukraine.

"And your older brother went to war on a contract. He didn't sell out his motherland for lattes and cheesecake. He stood up for his friends and for the truth. And what they say about him is fake," sings Slepakov, who is famous in Russia for his musical satire and used to be a regular on Russian television.

Slepakov has more than 1.4 million followers on YouTube, where a video of him singing his song with a guitar has been viewed over 700,000 times since it was released on Tuesday and tens of thousands of times on other platforms.

Some listeners left insulting comments beneath the video, while others thanked Slepakov for what they said was a clever anti-war song.

"Hold tight Semyon!" wrote one listener called Polina. "They (the critics) are now going to come at you from all directions."

LYRICS

Russian comedian, producer, comedian and musician Semyon Slepakov, who emigrated to Israel, wrote a new satirical song “Lullaby”. The piece imitates the song of a mother who lost her son.

A woman sings a lullaby to her youngest son about her two brothers – one became an IT professional in Europe and the other went to join the NWO and died here. The video of Slepakov’s performance was published on the YouTube channel.

“And your middle brother became Vanyusha, a traitor, Lord, protect the sinner and forgive him! Van didn’t listen, neither his father nor his mother And he became a kind of IT specialist, ”says Slepakov.

The song also contains the following lines about another of our brothers: "And now he’s back as a hero. He defended the country for nine months Soon we will build a fence And a beautiful monument – the mayor promised. bye bye bye bye All enemies will die and we will go to heaven. All enemies will die and we will go to heaven. Goodbye, goodbye.”

Slepakov, who went to Israel before, repaid Millions of dollars of debt in Russia. The debt to the Federal Tax Service amounted to 15.3 million rubles. and penalties in the amount of 3.6 million rubles. Slepakov went into debt after earning income in 2021. Probably the bard received about 118 million rubles. and didn’t pay them taxes.

LULLABY LYRICS: Oh, that's not wolves howling on the outskirts - That's a snowstorm singing its song. Don't cry, my little son, calm down, Bayu-bayu, bayu, bayushki-bayu, Bayu-bayu, bayu, bayushki-bayu.

You shouldn't be afraid of the evil blizzard, little son, You're just too small and too pure of soul. We have a more terrible enemy, my darling, This enemy, my son, it's the Ukro-Nazi!

The cursed one, he's the cause of all our misfortunes, If it weren't for him, we could live peacefully. It's a great pity, Vanyusha1, that you're only three years old, And you can't go out to kill Ukrops2.

Bayushki-bayu, bayushki-bayu, There's nothing better than death in a battle, There's nothing better than death in a battle. Bayu-bayushki-bayu!

Your middle brother, Vanyusha, has become a traitor, O God, save and forgive the sinner! He didn't listen to father and mother And became a specialist in something called IT.

You can't help him with any prayers, He's in Europe now in the captivity of a satrap. He probably spends his nights there with sodomites3 And doesn't believe in God, but in Satan.

Bayu-bay, bayu-bay, All our enemies will croak, and we'll go to heaven4. All our enemies will croak, and we'll go to heaven. Bayu-bay, bayu-bay.

But your older brother went off as a contract soldier, He didn't sell the Motherland for latte and cheesecake, He stood up for his friends5 and for the truth, And whatever bad things they write about him are faked.

Now he's returned as a hero, He defended our country for a whole nine months. Soon we'll put up a fence for him6 and a beautiful monument - the mayor has promised it.

About your brother I'll tell you, Vanya, my dear, Preserving a bright memory of him in my heart - My little son, this is why I gave you life, So you may sacrifice it for me.

Vanechka, I have to be strong and stubborn, This is the price of victory, Vanechka, Maybe I'm not a very good Mom, But I'm a great country, my son, But I'm a great country, Vanya.

Bayu-bay, baju-bay, Hurry up to go to sleep, Or else the Babay7 will come, Bayu-bay, bayu-bay...

----------- LYRIC INFORMATION:

1. Like Vanya and Vanechka below, diminutive forms of "Ivan".

2. Russian ethnic slur for Ukrainians. Literally "dills" - adding -op to the Ukr- for Ukrainian, you end up with the word for dill.

3. According RUSSIAN STATE PROPAGANDA, the West is controlled by gay, satanistic Nazis, and the Ukrainian "Nazis" could come to power only because they had been bought by the "Nazis" in the White House, the "Nazis" in the European Commission, etc.

4. As explicitly promised by Kirill Gundyayev, the leader of the russian orthodox church: any soldier dying in the "Holy War" against the "satanistic" West will go straight to heaven. Gundyayev's "teachings" (including those about the "Russian world") have by now been declared "heresies" by the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, the informal leader of the whole of orthodox christendom.

5. "For his friends" not in Russian, but in Church Slavonic, thereby creating a link to the words of Jesus in John 15:13.

6. I.e., around his grave.

7. In Slavic mythology, an evil demon of night and darkness who punishes children not obeying their parents. Thus close to the English "bogeyman".

Showman Semyon Slepakov is asked to be recognized as a foreign agent

https://www.tellerreport.com/news/2023-01-25-showman-semyon-slepakov-is-asked-to-be-recognized-as-a-foreign-agent.S1ZExXkJhj.html

As it became known to RT, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia received an appeal demanding that the showman Semyon Slepakov be recognized as a foreign agent and brought to administrative responsibility for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces. The author of the initiative, Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Security and Anti-Corruption Project, suggests that Slepakov could receive foreign funding from abroad.

Borodin’s appeal addressed to Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov notes that Semyon Slepakov’s account on the Instagram* social network contains videos with songs and poems of his own composition, in which the SVO is criticized in a sarcastic manner.

The appeal also contains a call to recognize Semyon Slepakov as a foreign agent on the basis of possible financial ties between the Jewish Charity Fund “Happiness”, established in the showman’s hometown of Pyatigorsk by his father, with the American fund The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (”Joint”).

According to Borodin, Sergey Slepakov, a professor at the Institute of Service, Tourism and Design, established Happiness together with the Joint Foundation, whose headquarters, the author of the request emphasizes, is located in New York.

The Joint, as follows from the information on its international website, takes an active part in the life of Jewish communities around the world.

At this stage, one of the main activities of the organization has become activity in Ukraine, where the foundation calls for “standing shoulder to shoulder” with Ukrainian Jews.

An analysis of publications on the site for 2022 shows that the Joint takes an anti-Russian position in the military conflict.

On the Russian-language portal of the EBF foundation, “Happiness” is mentioned in the “Jewish Assistance Centers” section.

Focusing on these facts, Borodin asks the Prosecutor General’s Office to check and establish whether Semyon Slepakov is a recipient of foreign funding.

As previously reported by the media, Slepakov Jr. left Russia at the end of October 2022 and moved to permanent residence in Israel.

Slepakov has more than 1.4 million subscribers on Instagram, and 1.43 million users have subscribed to the artist’s Youtube channel.

That’s not propaganda, more like the truth.

“Bayushki-bayu, bayushki-bayu” can be translated with “tra-la-la.”

Good to know. :)

I understand this phrase is also spoken/sung by a mother to her child in other Russian lullabies to help put the baby to sleep. My friend says it is much like saying “Hush-a-bye, Hush-a-bye.”

In this case, totally supports the irony within this dark satire of this new “Lullaby” song.

What do you expect from a dictatorship? They don’t have any Constitutional protections on speech because they don’t have a Constitution or a Bill of Rights.

My friend says it is much like saying “Hush-a-bye, Hush-a-bye.”

Correct. My proposal was incorrect. The underlying verb ba-YU-kat' does, indeed, mean "to hush."
