The plan for California to be powered by unicorn droppings and fairy dust continues regardless of all evidence that shows it cannot be done.

The population will crash in California.

Newsome can promise to end ICE vehicle sales by 2035, and have only EV sales.

But...

problem is, and it’s the same problem for everybody that believes him, is that...

It’s a LOOONNNNGGGG term promise, and he won’t be governor at that time....

meaning that, the promise has no chance in hell for being kept....

meaning that, therw will be at least 2 (perhaps 3) governors by then, and anyone of them can kill Newsome’s promise and then....

ICE vehicles will still reign supreme, in California and everywhere else.

The dirty secret is they have no intention to make it possible to charge all those cars. Mass transit will be mandatory

I’m pulling for steam cars to make a comeback.

The conservatives are already escaping. The Liberals will move out and infect the rest of the country.

These mandatory restrictions are torture for me. I’m sorry I lived this long to endure this.

The end game is to take personal vehicles away from everyone but elites.

LONG BEFORE THEN ALL LIBERALS WILL BE CONFINED TO INSANE ASYLUMS WHERE THEY’VE LONG BELONGED.

"California's plan to power EVs has one glaring shortcoming"

Regarding California renegade government EV escapism, the following list is not intended to be complete.

EVs first need to be pioneered and "domesticated" imo.

Also, I'm still waiting for global warming alarmists to explain why lots (millions?) of ordinary people have experienced when greenhouse gasses like methane and CO2 fail to hold the heat down under the shadow of a midday solar eclipse of an otherwise warm sunny day.

Solar eclipse 2017: How much did the temperature change during the eclipse? (non-FR; 8.22.17)

Also, is it any surprise that nighttime temperatures typically keep dropping in various places until shortly after sunrise?

So-called "global warming" alarmism amounts to corrupt government leaders working with likewise corrupt CEOs to abuse government power by forcing citizens to buy, through unconstitutional, unaccountable federal taxing and spending, junk science products as remedies for government-industrial-manufactured crises imo.

ROUGH ESTIMATES

A kilowatt-hour will propel your Tesla about three miles.

About ten 100-watt solar panels for eight hours will propel your Tesla about 24 miles.

Well, how about an electric bike? Cheaper than a Tesla!

And it might get you to work & back.

Some of us here on FR have done the basic math. This is not rocket science, but it may as well be for crazy leftists in charge.

Agreed. Some people say that the democrats are foolish and uniformed since there isn’t sufficient electricity generated to power all the EVs should everyone switch to such a vehicle. They know that.

Their plan is for only THEM to be able to travel freely and there will be sufficient power and gas for them to have either an EV or gas-powered vehicle (or both). It’s the peons who will have to walk, bike, or take public transportation to the places they are allowed to go. That is the purpose of the “15 minute” cities they are pushing. YOU will not need any transportation other than what they allow you.

They can do what New York is doing with their plan: depend on “dispatchable emission free resources” (DEFRs). This is a fancy way of saying “here a miracle happens.” IOW, Some future technology which is not available now and not even invented yet, but which will need to provide 30-40 gigawatts of energy on a sustainable basis by 2035 or so. Fairy dust is just about as much a reality, but these are experts— for whom reality is a mere nuisance anyway. By the time the whole thing collapses in a heap, they will have taken their money and run.

Those of us in Arizona need to form a Border Patrol - for our WESTERN border!

The plan of California is crystal clear.

They want folks out of their individual vehicles and riding
mass transit.

Evidently the mayor of San Diego is a freak for this plan.
