Russia invaded Chechnya first in the 1800s. The Vainakh have a history that is millenia older than the Tsardom of Muscowy.
The Chechens have hated Moscow ever since. In fact it was your Russian invasions that pushed them from their mix of Vainakh paganism mixed with sufism to militant Sunnis.
The Chechens love Putin and Russia today.
