As a medical student and researcher, I staunchly supported the efforts of the public health authorities when it came to COVID-19. I believed that the authorities responded to the largest public health crisis of our lives with compassion, diligence, and scientific expertise. I was with them when they called for lockdowns, vaccines, and boosters. I was wrong. We in the scientific community were wrong. And it cost lives.

Thats not going to cut it completely for me.
Much less so than others who lost people due to any number of deliberate deadly things forced on loved ones that murdered them. All the while calling us evil and we should be jailed or killed for not taking it. Losing our jobs and being ostracized by people who just knew we were wrong.
Not gonna do it for me, personally.
I suppose the Scientific Community wants Amnesty too.
The entire bunch can rot in Hell. The sooner the better for humanity’s sake.
Close, but no cigar. Until I see serious debate about those who where condemned to death - i.e., 'murdered' - in medical settings due to national policy - including the withholding of valid treatments - the discussion is moot.
Actually, it is time for them to stand trial for crimes against humanity, receive a fair trial, and be hung!

“We” in the Scientific Community” must mean Big Pharma! Since they research how to develop and produce pharmaceuticals (i.e. pills and vaccines), they surely are part of the “We” in the Scientific Community”.
Accordingly, some of those bastards at the top committed FRAUD and need to go to prison. Just saying “we’re sorry” shouldn’t cut it at all.

I recall reading stories of people scheduled for transplants that were not vaxed. They were sent home to die, and no amount of vax would change the doctor’s decision.
