Isn’t sea salt the preferred choice for cooking & seasoning?

“”Attention Kalifornia: Your water problems are solvable.””

I often mention on threads the existence of a very large body of water to the west of Kalifornia. Over 800 miles of coastline. I believe it is called the Pacific Ocean. Maybe Elon Musk, or some other entrepreneur, will create large, floating desalination plants. You could establish these clean water facilities outside of insane Kalifornia and USA environmental wackos, far enough offshore to be in international waters. Individual Kalifornia counties could contract with these water sources. The more politically-correct counties could suffer from thirst, while the counties with a brain could drink and thrive.

Also, I read very recently that the Kalifornia Sierra Mountains have 250% of the regular snowpack. Between the recent rain and snowfall, Kalifornia could conserve water for the non-rainy days. Unfortunately, Kalifornia will probably continue to flush 70% or more of the rain and snowmelt out into the ocean to protect all the non-human entities. Whenever there are forest fires, I never see a snail darter or squirrel pick up a fire hose to stop the trees from burning. It is always those evil humans (and usually men) saving the day.

Kalifornia is also demolishing as many dams as possible. One time, the wackos even floated the idea of demolishing the Hetch Hetchy dam. Since San Francisco and the peninsula depend upon the Hetch Hetchy reservoir for their water, the wackos did not succeed....yet.

Actually you can, and no it won’t.

Check out the Tampa Bay desalination plant if you want to learn about modern desalination plant processes.

The Kalis demolishing dams is a giant pet peeve of mine. They are going to take out four in the Klamath drainage. They forget why they were built in the 1960’s: Power was incidental, they were built for flood control. Johnny Carson rule will soon be in effect: “the mudslides will put out the fires.”

Owwwwww. You used ‘stochastic’ without ‘terrorists’ attached. Is that some sort of violation of something? 😁👍

If they spread it over a large enough area why would it be a problem?

It wouldn't, but it would have to be a very large area. Imagine the expense of that.

I have read that the Israelis have found ways to commercially process the brine produced via desal.

I'll look it up.

Dump it in the Dead Sea?

Guess that would eventually be renamed the Dead Salt Flats.

I learned it quite quite a few years ago from an Economist/fitness enthusiast named Art De Vany. He also turned me onto Nassim Taleb.

California could sell the salt to the Midwest to melt snow on the roads. Sad fact is California’s government is doing its best to drive out as many citizens as they cane and replace them with extremely rich and extremely poor foreign invaders.

I don’t think the claim was made that Jesus made three fish into 5000 fish. It said he took the fish they had and fed the masses with them. It is entirely more plausible that he managed to divide them enough that everyone who wanted some could have some. It is also a better teaching to people to not be greedy and selfish and share from meager resources so that everybody could eat and by sharing he taught kindness. Way better than miraculously producing fish from nothing as if he were David Copperfield.

“Isn’t sea salt the preferred choice for cooking & seasoning?”

if it’s unrefined, then it will contain all of the many trace elements found in the ocean besides just sodium chloride ...

Small brains working on large problems. You don’t have the slightest idea how much salt is in water and how much water is in the ocean. You take the water and salt out of the ocean, put some of it in salt shakers and the rest goes back into the ocean. It mixes back in because it is a constant process not where you take a bunch of water out and then take the salt out of it and dump big truckloads of salt in big piles on the shore. The salinity of the water near the desalination plant would increase but they say there is more than one which then you could reasonably infer that there are at least 3 so it isn’t all in one place or at one time. The ocean currents move it along. Gah! Try thinking positively.

Gah! Try thinking positively.

Wow. So much for asking a question.

You must have the biggest brain. Never having to ask anything because you already know. Must be nice.

Hope you're OK, though. You seem vaxxed.
