A four-star US Air Force general has warned of a conflict with China as early as 2025--most likely over Taiwan--and urged his commanders to push their units to achieve maximum operational battle readiness this year.
In an internal memorandum that first emerged on social media on Friday, and was later confirmed as genuine by the Pentagon, the head of the Air Force Mobility Command, General Mike Minihan, said the main goal should be to deter "and if required, defeat" China.
"I hope I am wrong. My gut tells me we will fight in 2025," Minihan said.
Laying out his reasoning, Minihan said Taiwan's presidential elections next year would offer Chinese President Xi Jinping an excuse for military aggression, while the United States would be distracted by its own contest for thw White House.
"Xi's team, reason and opportunity are all aligned for 2025," he added.
The memorandum also calls on all Mobile Command personnel to go to the firing range, "fire a clip" into a target and "aim for the head"....

Don’t be distracted my friend.
I think they must be desperate to generate enthusiasm for military service after the wokeness, the vaccine coercion etc.
First they came for Russia, then they came for China the Push, Prod and Provoke is on.
Wait. I thought we were at war with Russia?
General Minehan can’t say distracted with being drawn into a steadily escalating war in eastern Europe but that is what he means. Aesophian language is what even the soldiers have been reduced to. Still, brave for all that. A two front global with Joe & Co with the hand on the tiller, that would be as the Chinese say ‘most interesting, barbarian’.
This is why I think they created a war in Ukraine, to drain the world of it’s ability to fight offensively and defensively so it becomes a walk for China.
The general is a fool.
Even if China could seize Taiwan in a brilliant blitz campaign, which is doubtful, the USA and Japan would blockade their oil from the Persian Gulf through the Straits of Malacca, and their economy would soon collapse. And the official sanctions and private company actions would also devastate them. Xi Jinping is no fool, and he has figured it out. Even with a moron President like Biden, China is under control.
Commander-in-Chief Joseph R. Biden has been apprised of this and he is ready to lead.π€ͺ
We are in decidedly deep π©.
Russia produces oil and there is a land route.
We ain’t got no A1 Abrams no more. Oh no!!!!π€π΅
China is sitting pretty as the US and Russia are rendering themselves weak and ineffective, disarming themselves in the Ukraine. China purports to be an ally of Russia but has designs on the wide open farmable spaces of Siberia. China is not wasting its military on stupid wars
Gen. MilliVanilli has already called Xi and reassured him that Gen. Minihan will be dealt with accordingly.
China gets 60+% oil their oil from the Persian Gulf through the Straits of Malacca. Russian production is falling because the Western companies that used to maintain their equipment have all left. It’s an unpleasant situation for China, but they have figured it out, and much as they hate it they will behave.
Your take but we shall see what the true outcome is and I can’t believe it’s that easy to keep China in line.
The US military should be ready for all possibilities. However, I expect Taiwan to be peacefully handed over to the Chinese, just like Hong Kong was. We heard similar rumblings over it before they were merged.
“One China” is the official policy of all the major governments involved, with regard to Taiwan. An invasion by China won’t be necessary unless the Taiwanese start backing out of their agreements, which they are not so far doing, that I’m aware of.
The chip manufacturing capabilities there are much too fragile to sustain any sort of war damage whatsoever, and survive, and the whole world would suffer immense manufacturing issues of all tech products were that to happen. Therefore, I don’t expect it to happen.
China has a large coastal fleet, but almost no deep water fleet. Not just the USA, but also Japan has them beat in that department.
I know it is hard to believe, but for the forseable future peace between the USA & China is inevitable. LOL.
This ainβt good
