At the point he was being punched in the face it does appear that he was handcuffed.
Exactly what I thought.
You dont use an asp on the head. THey failed basic arrest, submission, and control methods. These guys are either NOT trained or maltrained. NO supervisors seem to be on scene. Its a mob, basically...with a badge.
It was a broad accusation of “reckless driving.”
The one who pulled him out of the car seems to be the leader of the wolf pack who destroyed this man.
That story seems to change too, but the only thing specific that I've heard was "reckless driving." Beating a guy to death over reckless driving just seems a bit much to me.

I just heard one of the cops say the victim’s car was weaving and the victim looked like he was try to hit one of the cop cars.
It’s awful. Infuriating. I can’t imagine what these guys were thinking. Did they believe there would be no consequences?
I really hope we find out the entire story about this, but I don’t know if we ever will.

Theres no defending this…5 cops - all of em alot bigger than the victim - beating a man senseless for kicks. They’re animals and cowards. All 5 should hang…

While those cops may have not been thinking of the consequences, a Shelby County jury will make them think long and hard about the consequences.
F course the cops make up all kinds of excuses after the fact.
Let their defense attorneys sort it all out.

What is worse is the half hour of no assessment. Methinks he would have had cerebral fluid coming out of his nose/ears. Of course they see this weird neurological behavior out of druggies to. Cops were all saying “hes doped up/hes on something/hes high as hell”. Well...he wasn’t. Very disturbing.
“I’m going to be honest with you about the stop itself. What was said was there was witnessing of what was considered reckless driving,” police chief Cerelyn Davis told CNN on Friday. “We’ve looked at cameras. We’ve looked at body worn cameras. Even if something occurred prior to this stop, we’ve been unable to substantiate it.”
Lack of evidence combined with a non specific description of the alleged offense sounds like the goon squad was bored and making a random stop. Or there is personal history between one of the cops and the victim that remains undiscovered.
Crap like this is what brings out the torches and pitchforks.
