Trump congratulates McDaniel on RNC chair reelection
The Hill ^ | January 27, 2023 | Caroline Vakil

Former President Trump congratulated Ronna McDaniel for winning a fourth term as chairwoman of the Republican National Committee (RNC) on Friday.

“Congratulations to Ronna McDaniel on her big WIN as RNC CHAIR,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social, before later baselessly alleging Democrats were rigging elections. The former president had not offered a public endorsement of any candidate ahead of the vote.

McDaniel won reelection for the RNC after committee members held a secret ballot vote in Dana Point, Calif. The incumbent faced two other challengers: California-based attorney Harmeet Dhillon and MyPillow CEO and prominent election denier Mike Lindell. McDaniel ultimately received 111 votes, while Dhillion received 51 and Lindell received 4.

The contentious election came after some members of the party voiced calls for new leadership in the wake of a disappointing November election for the GOP. Republicans were unable to flip the Senate, and while they were able to flip the House, they hold only a thin majority in the lower chamber.

As an independent, this does not surprise me at all.

It is normal for RINOpublicans.

Trump knows that too.

Have you seen Trump’s recent returns that were just released? He’s paying nothing!

Good for him.

But his corporations were being raped and ravaged. That is until his tax cuts evened the playing field.

Corporate tax is imposed in the United States at the federal, most state, and some local levels on the income of entities treated for tax purposes as corporations. Since January 1, 2018, the nominal federal corporate tax rate in the United States of America is a flat 21% following the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. State and local taxes and rules vary by jurisdiction, though many are based on federal concepts and definitions. Taxable income may differ from book income both as to timing of income and tax deductions and as to what is taxable. The corporate Alternative Minimum Tax was also eliminated by the 2017 reform, but some states have alternative taxes. Like individuals, corporations must file tax returns every year. They must make quarterly estimated tax payments. Groups of corporations controlled by the same owners may file a consolidated return.

No, billionaires don’t deserve a free ride on the backs of normal Americans. They consume more government services than anyone, and it’s essentially criminal fraud they get off scot free. Trump included. Spare me “it’s the law” BS, because this is about changing the law.

People in here opposing Trump are doing it because politically they are TO THE RIGHT of him, not to the left. This is a conservative forum, and Trump has been getting failing grades of late.

I originally supported Donald Trump because he seemed to be the only candidate who actually took on Hillary Clinton. However, I was worried that the Donald Trump we would get was the 1980's USFL Donald Trump- talking big about taking on the NFL, competing with the Senior league and even moving to the Fall....only for the league to fold.

I was pleasantly surprised that Donald Trump actually DID things that helped America- increased domestic drilling, the Abraham Accords, peace talks on the Korean Peninsula, and an economy that raised everybody-including minorities.

However, his biggest weakness was that he was a germophobe. That's why the WEF unleashed the Communist Chinese Virus on the world- they knew he'd be paranoid about diseases. Instead of firing Fauci and Birx, he took their advice because Trump is paranoid about germs and viruses, and why he still pushes the clot shot.

I'm afraid that 2024 Trump will be like the USFL Trump- talking a big show, but not backing it up.

that’s a nice representation of the influence the average working man has in the GOP. 4/166 = 2.4%.

Trump’s no dummy. He’s seen the last few elections. Washington is in control of our elections, particularly for The Senate and White House. You have to play ball to get elected President in America. 2016 was a fluke.

Oh sure! Joe Biden is so much better handling covid vaccines!

May be you do not like Trump because he was never a social conservative, but in my 63 years in US as an adult, the 4 years during Trump presidency were golden. There were no foreign wars, N.Korea stopped shooting rockets, Putin did not attack Ukraine, inflation was non-existent, jobs were plentiful, federal taxes were reduced, Small businesses were helped by reduction in onerous regulations, Veterans finally could see a doctor quickly, on and on.

But stupid Americans preferred Biden because he did not write mean tweets and spent campaign hiding in his basemengt wearing a burqa. Low IQ Americans contrued that as B iden taking covid more seriously.

Trump has been quick to call others losers, but he has stuck with this chronic loser. Him staying neutral and not encouraging her to step down was indeed support for her given her abysmal record.

“McDaniel ultimately received 111 votes, while Dhillion received 51 and Lindell received four”.

Wasn’t even close. Of course Trump is going to congratulate his candidate given there wasn’t even much of an alternative.
