Until it decided to confront Moscow with an existential military threat in Ukraine, Washington confined the use of American military power to conflicts that Americans could afford to lose, wars with weak opponents in the developing world from Saigon to Baghdad that did not present an existential threat to U.S. forces or American territory. This time—a proxy war with Russia—is different.

“You are either delusional or ignorant”
That is the entire substance of your “argument”. You are living out your life in an old black and white movie, neither here nor there.
You are not relevant in any way.
Do you even hear yourself? It started with money guns and bullets. Next it was rockets then more advanced rockets then i heard they were training for patriot missiles and now we are sending M1 tanks. Do you think that nukes are before the stopping point? I don’t. If it comes to a nuclear showdown, will Joe Biden stop? Is there a limit to what Joe Biden will sell so he can get his 10%? I don’t think there is. Our country is being run a bunch of liberal academics with a puppet figurehead ruler that has the power of Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces. There is no place they will stop. They are not in any danger. Yet.
Impotent Russia lost a seven day war in twelve months against a country 20% its size.
They are not “the same size” as the USA let alone the combined might of NATO.
Part of me says "I'm not so sure it'll be limited to NATO and Russia" ...
That evil bastard Joe Biden is going to get us all killed. One way or another.
“… If Ukraine loses, then Estonia is next.…”

Ah ha…. time to resurrect the good old DOMINO THEORY. That might work among the more gullible, ignorant and stupid amongst us. Whatever is needed to help KEEP THE BILLIONS FLOWING.
Ukraine has been a clearing house for Democrats to funnel government money to themselves through bogus foreign aid. Send aid, get rebates. Good times!
It stated with obamas Syrian pipeline war, placing US troops a stones throw from a Russian military base established in the 70s. Looks like our national memory problem still exists.
I think an unspoken (out loud at least) decision is being implemented on the Southern border to fix our low birthrate problem for Soc. Sec. demographics and add many many future democrat voters once they are all given amnesty here.
Thus, NO border controls.
And now they are even losing against Ukraine!
Crz, I suppose you consider Russia’s annexation of the occupied Ukrainian territories to be illegitimate or else you would be stating that Ukraine is occupying Russian territory.
Thank you for your support of Ukraine’s legitimate claim to these territories!
Domino theory is solid and proven. What happened is that the leftist academics trained everyone to say “lol ... domino theory ...” as if it hadn’t been conclusively proven.
Your manifest ignorance is breathtaking.
“Impotent Russia lost a seven day war in twelve months against a country 20% its size.”
The mistake you continue to make is confuse restraint with a lack of capacity. The reason I think many of you behave this way stems from a stunted sense of “patriotism” that you keep going by being too lazy and selfish to understand reality.
You are afraid of reality.
It should also be noted that the Russians use their military as border forces and as police in many of their regions. This skews the actual number of military members who perform traditional military roles.
Doug Macgregor? Don’t you guys have anyone else supporting you?
Hey it’s another troll.
It was EXACTLY that fear that caused Russia to attack Ukraine.
Just like the Cuba Missile Crisis in the '60s.
Restraint? As if such a word exists in the Russian military.
Macgregor strayed from reality in his very first sentence. Loosing its war to conquer Ukraine would not be an existential threat to Russia. Perhaps to the Putin regime, but not for Russia as a nation. Ukraine is not a military threat to Russia. NATO has no plans or desire to invade Russia.
