What is a digital asset?
RE: What is a digital asset?
See here from the IRS Website:
IRS initially called them “Cryptocurrencies” (starting about 3 years ago), but since they specifically ruled that Bitcoin was a “commodity” like gold and silver (also about 3 years ago) I guess they decided to change the name this year. I was saying “No” to “Do you own any cryptocurrencies” on the 1040 since they said Bitcoin was a commodity not a currency! ;-) Crypto/”digital assets” subject to Cap Gains.
It’s gotta be better than a digital exam.
A middle finger?
I believe it’s crypto.
Coins are all that I am aware of, but NFTs may also fall
under this category.
My crypto went down this year.
It's what you feel like showing the IRS every year when you pay your taxes.
One on each hand.
“What is a digital asset?“
Seems to me that if you buy a song from iTunes.. THAT is a “digital asset”.
Or a movie from a streaming service…
This means just about EVERYBODY.
